I don't get why some people don't understand that being blunt is not the same as being rude or heartless, sure sometimes it can hurt your feelings but ultimately Morgan wants what's best for the server no? Seeing flaws is better than pointing out perfections since it leads to improvement.

And pointing out things that the staff member does well ultimately makes them more confident no?

Maybe I didn't explain myself properly, I am in no way denouncing positive comments and a healthy mix of both is necessary of course but like I said people should stop feeling offended when criticism is given in a blunt manner since like I said pointing out flaws allows people to work on them and maybe if you do get offended by a blunt criticism then that might also be something you need to work on.

Maybe I didn't explain myself properly, I accept criticism is needed to make one improve but for one to want to improve, they must have something to help them on the way such as a person near enough at the top of the staff hierarchy saying something positive about them. You should hopefully know that it feels good to have your positives pointed out and it just gives you that extra bit of energy that may be needed to try your hardest and improve in your weaker areas

Pretty sure I basically said that but I won't argue with you further and detail the thread more than it already is.

At this point there is no one good left....

You are a fucking great person and are a fucking great staff member, it pisses me off to see how the lead team have been acting atm first blocked now this... I always joke around saying zarp is dying but now it seems like the lead team are killing the members that keep zarp together. I lost a lot of respect for the lead team over the months and years but this is taking it too far now. I have lost all respect and in my gods honest opinion if a few members left zarp to form there own community it would take off and put zarp into the fucking ground.

At this point idk to support or not because I fucking loved you as a staff member/player as we had some of the best times and the only times rp has happened, but now im thinking you are better and are worth more than zarp but thats just my opinion.

Or am i not realizing that suddenly you need 1 person to say the bad stuff, and another to say the good stuff...

I see admins on SSRP complimenting each other and helping each other in that assistance more, which is 1 reason as of, why the admin team tend to be close.

yes of course i do, i've been staff myself and i know there is a lot of staff, but keep in mind that it's a real stressful job, only hearing people say shit about you only makes it so much worse and makes them feel bad, someone who feels bad is more likely to fuck up aswell, make them feel good for once , don't go too bad on them if they fuck up, tell them it's alright just don't do it again, don't instantly bash them into the ground!

Whenever I give feedback I give them what they need to improve on and what they're doing good on idk where this complimenting stuff came from to begin with, I did better getting criticism instead of compliments.

EDIT: Also who are you even talking about, who is only giving bad feedback. I believe just about everyone has said Akemi was a great HA before the inactivity just now there was multiple problems which lead to the demote..

just because it helped you improve doesn't mean that it will help others improve as well, stressed out people don't tend to improve when they are pointed out what they do wrong, they want to hear what they do good, that keeps them from getting too stressed and will improve their overall performance with their staff duties

Anna+Akemi4HA damn sometimes you guys gotta understand that personal issue can effect people in more ways than one, after overcoming issues anything can set you off it'd be natural for her to want time to herself and calm down but hey that's my opinion but I reckon she deserves 1 more chance because personal issues surely cannot be her own fault.

Criticism is good for everyone, even if it makes them feel bad. However I do agree with you that criticism isn't the same as constant negativity - you can be positive and still criticise someone on how they do their job. For example: "Hey, you've been quite inactive lately. You did a hell of a good job before though, so could you perhaps tell us why you're inactive?"

It's positive, but still criticising - it rewards them for the good things they've done but does adress the issue at hand and makes the other know about it.

However, don't forget that Anna did actually receive 3 official warnings. As far as I'm aware, they had shown such positivity plenty of times (unless I'm wrong) and at some point you simply have to draw a line. Anna believes that that line did not need to be drawn yet, which is entirely her own opinion and fine, but there are others out there that seemingly disagree and believe that the line has been drawn where it should have been.

And there's not really a wrong answer, either. It's more of what you personally believe is the right thing to do. So stop arguing and let's do something positive with our lives, capiche?

Just because you can improve from criticism doesn't mean everyone can. Give someone a baf thing and then a compliment, then they know wjat they are doing well and what to improve on. Lets not get into an arguement over this, instead let people give opinions and then be built on buy not into an arguement, afterall we all have connections by Zarp so we wouldn't have been here without Zarp.

Lets also not accuse people of bashing staff into the ground, the Lead Team give their opinions and then come to a conclusion. It is therefore not all responsible from one person. So please lets give the Lead Team some credit as they have to keep all the staff across 3 servers going.

You forgot to include my edit. Anyway, how are we expected to know each individual's preference and how they learn best when it comes to criticism etc. When it comes to giving feedback I'm sure most of us use the way we learned the best and how we improved ourselves personally to give feedback on others when it comes to constructive criticism. People keep saying no one gives a compliment during feedback/criticism along with what they could work on but still won't say who only gives negativity, personally I don't see staff members intentionally pushing others into the ground unless it just doesn't happen where I can hear/see it.

Yeah, I had no reason to be inactive at the time, I was inactive for no real reason and I got warnings for it.

This alone justifies the demotion. The timing may have been a bit off, but regardless this is totally unacceptable of a Staff Member at any rank, let alone a Head Administrator who is supposed to be a leader and setting an example for the rest of the team. Period.
