You were a great staff member Akemi, but during these past 10 weeks it's felt you've only drifted away from the team, lost interest playing other steam games, and at the end of the day we had to take action. This demote appeal is not fair to any of us and only selfish. And this is why so many people dislike like you Morgan, it's the attitude and the fact that you only see the bad in people and never seem to take the time to help others improve in the areas they may be lacking knowledge or skill. Stop with the constant criticisms and actually support people when support is needed. Some people have never seen or had criticism in their life, everything is so childlike these days. I do see the good in people, but if you've been inactive constantly, rarely do your job, etc. What are you contributing other than excuses? |

I do see the good in people, but if you've been inactive constantly, rarely do your job, etc. What are you contributing other than excuses? Morgan, please never say anything like this again. You can't say something like that as though you know what every member of the community has gone through their entire lives, or even their entire time in the community. Something I have always noticed you and other Lead Team members pointing out what is wrong with people. Why they should not be accepted for any higher ranks, what they should stop doing. FOR FUCKS SAKE PEOPLE START NOTICING WHEN SOMEONE DOES SOMETHING GOOD, AND START TO TELL PEOPLE WHEN THEY ARE DOING WELL. Back when I was an admin, I constantly had a specific member of the Lead Team going on about how shit things I was doing were. It is fucking stupid how things are done. People have been confused or pissed off at people when they are feeling more stressed by staffing or when they resign because they feel too pressurised. You get pissed off at people when they point out flaws in the Lead Team, rather than actually accepting it and improving. With all the fair negatives you have pointed out, Akemi has accepted that they exist and has tried to work on them. I can vouch for the way shit works a lot. Back when the whole abuse thing happened when I was an admin, I was constantly noticing how nobody took into account the positive things that I had done for the community. The only person who I felt was being fair back then was Chute, as he had stated himself that just because there were negatives, there were still positives. Akemi has done a lot of good shit for the community and the server, and you need to take this into account. She had been a good staff member for a long time, always listening to people and doing a great job in doing her job. She encountered personal issues, making her go inactive for a while. Yes, it is a big thing that caused an issue in the server, but she was still dedicated as all hell, and despite not putting in a lot of time, she was still putting in a lot of effort. When people have personal issues, you need to respect that and have some patience until they get back. Not having one member of the lead team around for a little while can cause some issues, yes, but if you have the right amount of teamwork and coordination, then you should be able to handle it. Akemi started to be more active, she got past it and started to be able to uphold you standards again, and you bloody well shot her down, which is fucking stupid. On the topic of criticism, you give out a shit ton of it, but you don't take it. I used to do the same thing, until Raeker and Para both spoke to me about it and helped me to improve on that (<3). You need to start to listen to the criticism people give you, and not get pissed off at them and just fighting back at them. Start to take into account the good in people, and listen to the people who give you criticism. Love y'all really <3 |

I think pointing out weaknesses and allowing them to work on them builds them up which is the ultimate goal, self improvement. If you only compliment people on what they do good how could they improve and work on the things they should improve on?

Maybe I didn't explain myself properly, I am in no way denouncing positive comments and a healthy mix of both is necessary of course but like I said people should stop feeling offended when criticism is given in a blunt manner since like I said pointing out flaws allows people to work on them and maybe if you do get offended by a blunt criticism then that might also be something you need to work on.Bunnyslippers wrote:

Maybe I didn't explain myself properly, I accept criticism is needed to make one improve but for one to want to improve, they must have something to help them on the way such as a person near enough at the top of the staff hierarchy saying something positive about them. You should hopefully know that it feels good to have your positives pointed out and it just gives you that extra bit of energy that may be needed to try your hardest and improve in your weaker areas |

Verbal can be more damaging to someone that physical. verbal messages, such as constantly pin pointing the same things that are bad over and over, can take a toll on someones mental health, which is HARDER to fix than a physical injury that give it a few months can be back to normal. If someone was constantly pointing out the same weaknesses over and over again to me, while trying to improve them, would put more of a downer on my mental health, which is already unstable as fuck, and even put me in to a part of "Fuck it" in which i then just give up. Every person is different, Every person reacts to things differently, and in which when you have something effecting you Mentally, can cause you to be more sensitive. |
