Because we have a Community Team and Community Managers for a reason. If we let every community dispute be handled by the Community, almost certainly some ridiculous things would happen due to it.

This is a case, where people are discussing rather or not a word would be considered racist or not. Based on seeing this thread alone you can clearly see that most people seem to agree that this is not a racial word.

The reason why this should be left to the community is that (and please take no offense to this anyone within the CM-Team) the CM-Team won't take everyone's opinion into account, they'll act depended on their own opinions which I find unfair in this situation. I think, clearly because people show the interest in this subject, the fact that we managed to get like over 100 posts within about an hour or two of everyone arguing, that it might as well be as fair to give everyone a chance to vote on the matter

I do agree with Akemi on this point, how about we let the community decide if he get's to keep his name. The community team can not represent every member of this community and this topic looks like it has a very high public interest. Let's have a vote! Because we have a Community Team and Community Managers for a reason. If we let every community dispute be handled by the Community, almost certainly some ridiculous things would happen due to it.

Yet you Americans caused this issue in the first place. Not every community dispute should be handled by the community, but some things should, as it seems the situation isn't ending with a conclusion. You're just afraid of the majority.

Because unfortunately, the majority of people don't know what they're talking about but that's almost every population if they all had democratic voting systems. Racism is not okay at the end of the day, if you wish to allow racism i'd suggest another community.

The reason why RFlex, which I stated above as well. Is because the CM-Team will take their own opinions into account, sure they may take others into account but talking from experience on how normal meetings work this won't happen nearly as much as it should. That's why this should be the community as a whole's choice.

Chute, I'm sorry. But I can't accept this, you don't seem to fully understand. This is about if the name was actually racist or not if Morgan was actually right in accepting that report or not.
