I made a vote, but it was locked since we are supposed to keep it on one thread. And what would that vote change, exactly? That we suddenly allow racism in the community?

I've got nothing against the word "spook" nor have I ever heard of its racist use in the US before today, but if people feel offended by it (don't forget that a user did report someone because they didn't appreciate the apparently racist name) then I don't see why we should allow such things to occur. If there's any issue I have with it it's the fact that it's seemingly got some kind of priveleged position, as you aren't allowed to say the N-word no matter what but you are allowed to say the word "spook" seemingly.

A vote won't change the fact that people are offended and have reported users for it.
