wouldn't it have made more sense if your post was deleted and you were unsure as to why for you to try to contact a forum staff member and ask them why rather than posting the same thing again multiple times?
Yes, but actually...
Yes, the user could've contacted
a staff member but, they should not have to. Because forum moderators are
required to EDIT the deleted post and include a reason for deletion. The user had no idea what was being done wrong as the staff member who handled it was not adhering to Zarp Policies. Not to mention, how would he even know who to contact?
Yes, perhaps the user was breaking the Terms of Use, and yes, perhaps he should not have reposted it. But the staff members should
read and
abide by the policies that were set out, doing so would've given Aidan a good reason as to why his post was removed, and he would've presumably not reposted it and thus have never been banned.
I even dare say that the mistake here lies with the staffmember in question. Had the staff member not broken guidelines and told the user what he did wrong (by editing his original post with the reason and their name), he might've not posted the same post again, thereby avoiding the ban.
Simply Put: Because a staff member decided to break policies and not provide the user with a valid reason, the user ended up getting banned without knowing a real reason for getting banned.
Opinion starts here
I sincerely think that the report should be accepted, but instead of taking full on action the
Moderator,
Global Moderator, or
Administrator should be re-explained the policies. For context, see the
underlined text in the quote below:
When forum moderators wish to delete posts or lock topics in order to help other forum mods and the original poster understand why they have done so they should always EDIT the post, or the first post, if it's an entire topic and include in quotes the reason why and their forum username.

And I also rightfully believe that forum staff (if you see yourself performing this type of behavior I mean you) should stop taking the easy option (pressing the delete button) and actually do as is expected from them. Give users the reason for their post deletion, and give them your name when you do so so that they may dispute the claim.
We should be acting mature around this subject, rather than forum staff half-assedly removing everything they think "Breaks TOU". give users a proper reason so they are not left in the dark as to why their posts have been removed. And actually state your name so that the user may
actually make a report/dispute it if they believe it is unrightful.
In the end I'll give...
This post is based purely on the zarp policy outlined above, everything said was intended to restate the facts, and not take my opinion into account. At a certain point my opinion will be mentioned as a part of the ending statement, a bold header will be put in place to alert you from the shift of fact into opinion.
