Story/Situation
I will explain each part of the reason in a paragraph by itself.
Starting off with soundboards, yes I did use a soundboard even though it is against the TOU. As a TeamSpeak Staff member, as well as being a Lead Team member on the SSRP Servers, I am supposed to be a role model to others by following the rules of the TeamSpeak and enforcing them. The reason is valid, but the problem I have with this is that other TeamSpeak 3 Staff members, as well as those that are a higher rank than mine on the TeamSpeak and on the servers were using soundboards themselves. It started off with them using a soundboard, and after a week or two I joined in on it; some of them had stopped but many still used it. Sounds were mainly played in a spacer with the other SSRP LT Members and some others. It is very hypocritical for me to get punished for this when they go around doing it with no regard. It is even more hypocritical that I was brought up by someone who did it himself. Why should I go punished while the others don't? It is either everyone or no one, where is the democracy?
The second reason is not listening to higher ups. Basically we were having some banter and I changed my name on the TeamSpeak and SSRP Servers to something I shouldn't have. Now the name is not against the term of use, but someone within the Lead Team had asked this name to not be used because he felt offended by the jokes made by it (not by me). We were having a laugh and I changed my name to that when that Lead Team member was not on. I was told to change my name several times and I refused because it is not against the TOU (I hadn't known that the LT Member asked it not to be used because it was told to that who made jokes of it over Skype.) This went on for a bit and I might have come out a bit immature out of it, and I really understand getting punished for this reason; an official warning should have sufficed, what led to a demotion I believe was the use of soundboards as well, which I think should be disregarded.
When I was told of my demotion it was also brought up that I joined spacers after being moved out of them. Now this happened once by OnionRings telling me "Go apologise on the forums to join back," so I just joined back and told him I will not be making any forum posts and it ended there. I was told however that others had said this occurred with them as well, and I am very sure that is false given that I do not move around much, I am usually in the same spacer for most of the time on the TeamSpeak. It was also mentioned that I kept on leaving a spacer Onion put me in when he was telling me to disable my soundboard, yes I did leave but that was just twice and then my headset broke so I had to fix it, he might have been mistaken bringing that up.
Extra Information
I sincerely hope the team's decision is looked upon. As a SuperAdmin I will need TeamSpeak powers when I train people, when I have to talk to someone privately in a spacer, when I need to discuss something with a Lead Team member or a staff member, etc. It is essential having TeamSpeak powers being in the Lead Team, and my roles are going to be restricted without my rank.
I did my job as a TeamSpeak Staff Member enforcing the TOU in public channels, banning alts, and such. If a bit of banter is not allowed in a private spacer then I do not know why this is called a gaming community.
I do not know if it is possible, but I request an emergency TeamSpeak meeting to be scheduled soon given that the next meeting is in a month. That month will hinder my Lead Team duties (if it were to be accepted) so I really hope y'all re-consider.
