Before I iscuss this however, I think it's only best to say that the hand cannon issue is very exaggerate. There are still many spots that big bases can be set up, it's just a little hard to base there adding challenges with defending, something that I and other people feel rockford lacks.

A way of fixing this would be to tweak the settings for server 2 alone, by far the most simpler option. Similar to how server 2 has had some differences with s1 in the base, such as slower updates. It would be simple and fix many issues.

Another way would be to nerf the hand cannon as a whle. It is still quite an overpowered weapon, only balanced out by the cost. Regardless of price, it can still decimate a base will full prop protection in a clip. Shooting props in the bank destroys shops on the surface even on S1, which people seem to overlook when discussing the issues with bloc. A nerf overall meaning you can't blow up props through walls would make it a more balanced weapon overall.

Don't be fooled into voting for Bloc42 guys. We had the map on before a year or so again, and let me tell you it was complete trash. Here's my list of why not's for Bloc42, and what RockfordV2 has to counter:

BLOC42 Not enough space for large numbers of players.
ROCKFORD V2 Large varying districts, big roads, big areas

BLOC42 Doesn't work with vehicles at all, narrow roads, tight corners, cars spawn away from the dealer with at least a 60 second walk to get in your vehicle because of a lack of space (car spawns can't be changed)
ROCKFORD V2 Great purpose built car dealer, with big car park for easy vehicle spawning

BLOC42 Lots of buildings of different sizes all co-joined and next to each other
ROCKFORD V2 Even more buildings, different districts, and proper basing areas and separated buildings

BLOC42 Building in mines crashes the server
ROCKFORD V2 No server crashes as a result of the map

BLOC42 Lo-res textures and stock HL2 textures, lazy mapping
ROCKFORD V2 Custom textures and high resolution custom models, detailed and comprehensive mapping skills

Large varying districts leads to a lack of RP while people hide printers or sit in their huge bases. You may think that bloc42 was bad (which is your opinion, you're perfectly entitled to it,) but if you spend half an hour on rockford you'd realize how little a new player has to do on the map other than print.
The cars spawn in the car park? Yeah very uncustom built right there

There are unattached, buildings that stand alone fine on Bloc42, as well as a district ideal for district bases.

Stop scaring people, I'm sure EMP can fix this easily. There's been multiple SAs throwing their weight around scaring people already with this fact.

The map looks fine, if downtown is on the server bloc42 will do just fine also.
