TOPIC: Server 2 Map Poll

It's time to choose the next Server 2 map...
Today we're announcing the Server 2 Map poll and giving the community a chance to choose the next map. There's been a lot of demand recently for a new map on ZARP SSRP2 (play.zarpgaming.com:27025), so the lead team have put together a list of the 4 best maps that best fit a number of criteria including popular demand and how well they would work with the ZARP gamemode. So without further ado here are the maps...

The poll is open now and you can vote above for your favourite once logged into your account. The poll will close at midnight Saturday 12th March and the winning map will be launched on the server shortly afterwards.

Rockford V2
An updated and much refined version of the current Server 2 map, Rockford is a City RP map based in Oregon USA, that includes downtown, uptown, industrial, residential, and outskirts elements for the full city experience. This new version includes updates, optimizations and plenty of new buildings too including Rockford Customs, Cinema, Pub, updated PD and Fire dept., new Bank building, underground parking and much more.

Evocity V33X
One of the biggest and most popular DarkRP maps. Evocity has 4 major areas, including the largest; the City district includes a plentiful amount of shops, apartments, a government Skyscraper, Fire dept, Nightclub, Burger King and much more. Each district is connected by easy to use roads and tunnels. There's a large suburbs area with many houses and space for building too and a connecting area which includes the EMT building. The next area includes a large car dealer building and open landscape for large building. The final district sees a number of large warehouses and factory buildings perfect for larger projects.

Evilmelon
A previous Server 2 favourite. A customized version of Downtown V2 which includes a large number of classically styled buildings of various sizes. It features a large underground sewer complex with space for building and a subway system which connects the length of the map. A canal runs through the center of the map with a lifting bridge connecting the two sides of the town.

Bloc42 ZARP Edition
A previous Server 1 map. This map consists of a large number of classically styled buildings and winding streets. The ZARP customized version includes a church and a multi-story parking garage. It also includes a large sewer system, many apartments, stores, a police station and a gas station.

Guys can we please give Evo City a chance? It's a dank map with some pretty epic houses!

Rockford V2 is quite clearly the best map choice in this situation considering the players and the special weapons that we have on the server.

I love the sound of Rockford V2,

Bloc42 is just a buggy, middle-sized map, which has proven to be the least favorite map in the past 3 polls losing every time. Evocity, could provide a fun RP experience, but there may be a Frame Rate issue as well as the map being too big. Evilmelon I really haven't ever liked, it's too blank and not interesting in my opinion.

I personally think we should give Bloc42 another chance, a lot of people are sticking with the argument "oh the special weapons won't work there" when half of the people haven't even played the map on a popular RP server before. That's why I voted for Bloc.

Hey, if it doesn't work and people don't enjoy it, it will prove to the vast majority of bloc supporters (including myself) that it's simply poorly compatible with ZARP's current features.
