Oof House deleting announcements made by higher ranking staff
TTT might need a new owner soon gents
Well you take what you want but a CD announcing rules that have never been even voted was not one of the CD rights last time I checked and as such House did what was right
E: not to mention this cant be new info as they have logs on Discord that everyone in LT I believe can see (or higher I dont know what the settings would be these days)
It is something that was discussed by the Lead Team, is an integral part of the gamemode itself and was already in line with the existing rules. It comes under common sense, due to simply being part of the gamemode (and the point of the gamemode itself).
Following your complaints about the situation, this was discussed again, and once more explained to staff to be the case. We let people know that they should verbally warn people for things which they felt were vague / unclear about it first, rather than just straight up going to harsher punishments, due to the fact that it would be incredibly unfair to straight up punish them for something when some staff members had been doing it differently - I would also like to point out that myself and other staff members have been enforcing this aspect of the gamemode the entire time.
This probably would have been the same for you, but your attitude in the community and on the forums were absolutely abysmal, and this is why you received a warning rather than just a verbal (this is something that Clarky agreed with at the time). You have to remember that, even though you were a Head Admin in the past, this does
not make you high and mighty, or above anyone else at all. That is one of the key elements of this community, and nothing is going to change about that. If you want to be staff and work up the ranks again, you can apply, but until then, please stop with the attitude towards our staff, acting like you're above them and generally showing a bad attitude in the community. If this does not stop, then there will be consequences for it.
I wasn't in the Lead Team meeting which followed, so I couldn't remind anyone to put an announcement onto the forums or bring up a proper vote / discussion about it (like I said, we had already discussed it again in the Lead Team channel on Discord, and there were little to no complaints about it).
When I was first a staff member almost 3 years ago right up until I was a Head Admin on the server, staffing for around 2 years on TTT as a Lead Team member before I resigned to focus on the servers I owned, I was explicitly trained to punish users in this way, and always trained people as such. No rule has been changed since then that would change this.
I would also like to thank you for letting me know who deleted the announcement that was made. At the time of this, we also had a discussion on it and that announcement was posted. I was wondering who had deleted it, and everyone had told me that they had no idea who it was. I'm slightly disappointed to hear that it was House, and also the reasoning that was given.
