This does seem like a good course of action. Maybe a ban from anything from 1 week to 1 month for the first offense (with a very low chance of an appeal being accepted), and then if they get caught hacking again, then onto a permanent ban. A straight up perma means you can just appeal it, but only a kick is too lenient.

The question here, John, is what the community thinks is the best way to deal with hackers. Hackers meaning those using client side scripts/cheats that give them an unfair advantage over others - such as better aim, better bhopping, seeing players through walls, etc.
