TOPIC: Lock plz

Basically as some of you know Toto was reported for wrongfully slaying and warning someone on ttt bit this is not my point my point here is that raeker was handling this report as he was the first to say so on the post but to my surprise the topic was locked and xnator handled this randomly
Like wtf someone explain this as I'm pretty sure he's wrong in doing that

Saying that you will handle something doesnt mean that no one else can handle it. Xnator was faster and so he handled it.

Like I already told you over Steam, the only thing that bothers me (although of course I would have appreciated it if TheXnator approached me first) is that Xnator probably didn't speak to Toto, although the Report Abuse policy clearly states that speaking to the staff member is a high priority when handling the report.

Although I would have appreciated it if Xnator asked me first, he didn't do anything wrong except (maybe, perhaps he did actually speak to Toto) not following the policy correctly. As I already told you, the policy doesn't state that if someone claims to handle it that nobody else is allowed to handle it anyway.

Besides, the outcome would have probably been the same. The only difference I can think of is that I would have said that the report was "Accepted," as Toto apparently didn't follow the Staff Ethos (even according to Xnator, who also said that Toto didn't follow the ethos correctly and would be reminded to always follow it).

However, as I didn't have the chance to speak to Toto about it it could just as well have been denied, depending on what Toto would have told me.

The Ethos are only a guideline.

I do agree on the fact that it might have come out a bit unprofessional from Xnator for handling it even though Raeker had already stated he was, regardless if it is allowed. I believe Xnator should have at least told Raeker he was handling it or see if he can, but yet again there is nothing wrong with it.

As for the staff ethos, yes it is a guideline, but we highly recommend our staff members follow it at all times. As stated in the ethos, we are not here to punish users for things that do little effect to others, we are here to make them enjoy their time more and help them if they seek assistance.
