Here's the real question why do you subscribe to atheism when there's no evidence available which disproves the existence of a higher being and there is no proven scientific explanation for the creation of the universe to name just one thing.
I'll try to keep this short.
Can't the atheist say the same. Why would you believe in something that hasn't been proven yet, especially while the existence of a God is very unlikely.
We should accept our lack of knowledge.
I never advocated for theism in any way I simply stated why I disagree with atheism. The acceptance of our lack of knowledge is agnosticism which I am a firm supporter of but regardless I'll play devil's advocate and continue this debate.

God can't even help you with any philosophical questions, take for example the cause of the universe. Either there was a cause, could be God, or the universe has always been existent. If you put God as a cause in there, you will still have to ask further with "what caused x(God, cause of God, cause of cause etc). Doesn't help, does it? And just because we don't know the answer, doesn't mean we have to start believing things.
The main argument that theists use to counter the argument of causation is that God (or any type of higher being for that matter) would be omnipotent and thus transcend any form of logic or physics that exist in the universe. This would thus enable the argument which states that God was not created by anything and simply existed since the start of time.
I'd like to just say once again that I don't agree with theism or atheism and I'm just trying to keep this discussion going.
