GENCORP: Survival Suggestions Megathread

Hello there ZARP, we hope you're enjoying the new gamemode recently implemented. If you have any suggestions at all regarding Survival feel free to fill out this template below and suggest it. We already have taken down numerous suggestions and they're actively being worked on to be put into Survival ASAP. Thanks again!

We did consider this, and the point is to make it somewhat difficult to obtain primary weapons from the larger boxes. I will say it will become easier soon, as turrets will drop ammo upon destruction, giving you more ammo for your pistol to shoot the boxes open.

Suggestion Title: slight turret nerf

How would it benefit GENCORP: Survival: i dont die because im bad

Potential Issues/Exploits: bad

Additional notes: make the turret not INSTANTLY shoot you, think portal turrets but maybe a little quicker reaction to you

- smaller map, more close quarter combat areas
- improve turret LOS, sometimes it shoots you despite being behind it closer up
- nerf exo jump thing
- remove stamina or make it less cancer (i vote remove)
- add stamina underwater
- stop using m9k, it fucking sucks, just move onto a better weapon pack
- if option above isn't considered, please make some of the guns actually better (mainly the pistols, just do your own experiments)
- improve spectate mode, add first person spectating too
- bug: remove tablet from hotbar, it is not in a designated slot out of the 6 but you can still scroll through it
- add option to toggle/hold tablet menu when pressing tab
-bug: lower the plane slightly because the camera can go out of the map before jumping out, no longer rendering some of the world and assets such as the skybox
- option to mute the intro & music or turn it the fuck down
- fix voice chat, make it proximity, work in the plane and in-game, remove voice chat player list

Suggestion Title: Nerf moneybags

How would it benefit GENCORP: Survival: Nerf moneybags to indirectly nerf exojump

Potential Issues/Exploits: Exo jump

Additional notes: By nerfing money bags to not give u 1billion ssrp duped cash, maybe like 1k. It'll nerf exo jump from being easier to obtain 1 nano second into the round if you spawn on it.
Suggestion Title: Buff exo jump fall damage (controversial)

How would it benefit GENCORP: Survival: see additional notes

Potential Issues/Exploits: too op

Additional notes: Only do this change if you plan on nerfing exo jump in some other way, but make it so fall damage is reduced. Traveling down hill is cancer with exo jump as even if you dont intend to leap you will still do it and take 1 million damage.
Suggestion Title: Incorporate more ZARP items

How would it benefit GENCORP: Survival: More originality and interesting gameplay

Potential Issues/Exploits: Too op?

Additional notes: Include stuff like a watered down scanmaster or the many grenade types. Spices up gameplay in a unique and fun way
Suggestion Title: More varied map design

How would it benefit GENCORP: Survival: Adds more points of interest and interesting areas, making the map feel more alive and bigger without having to change the size

Potential Issues/Exploits: Mapper skill issue

Additional notes: Just makes it more fun, add more POI's. Higher ground so parachute has a use and adds a lot more varied interaction between players

you can still hear orb strikes from outside the BR, mayor incident reports still come in, nuke 10 second alarm still plays, basically anything outside of the arena should not be making noises or having any sort of effect on it, this also happens on regular events i think

make the red circle close quicker, some times its a 1v1 scenario , and it takes over 5minutes to even see the other person.
Considering adding even more small red boxes so you can get them more frequently.
nerf shotguns , they are more efficient than rifles atp.

if youre gonna keep the shitty stamina thing then make jumping count towards that, otherwise its just people bhopping around the map or jumping with that boost shit

I'd suggest red circle closing faster, to close ALL the way, not just pick a winner, make it that at least every house has something either cash / ammo etc, do something about afk joiners, in conclusion we need faster matches.
Nerf shotguns, remove/make jugg playable.
weapons that drop from the supply drop to at least have a full mag , sometimes even if the weapon is very nice, you cant pick it up cuz of the game state ( cant risking having a weapon with no ammo).

Suggestion Title: Make stamina less punishing

How would it benefit GENCORP: Survival: I can traverse the 100km wide/long map and actually find players

Potential Issues/Exploits: n/a

Additional notes: Stamina good, the amount is bad. Increase the amount but 2x or similar. It'll decrease game time and increase traversability making for a better feeling seamless experience

Stamina has been increased by 15%

Suggestion Title: more ways of gaining xp

How would it benefit GENCORP: Survival:
it won't benefit the survival itself but the pass rather, it is just too difficult to level up sometimes because people will not join the event also for example people have school/jobs to go to and won't be able to complete the pass in time because of this too as people are less bound to play the event. you only ever see the event get played at peak times or if it's double XP.

the idea is to bring rewarding xp into the ssrp gamemode itself BUT only through non-afking/easy to win means (DO NOT ADD printing/mining for example), things like:
- growing & producing drug, carrot, melon
- actively fixing faults in nuclear scientist
- actively playing taxi/bartender/trashman/lawnmower job
- reaching mayor survival time milestones (obviously this can be afked, so should not reward so much perhaps)
- completing hits
- completing all 3 daily objectives
- completing a drug run
- launch/destroy a nuke
- successfully rob/stop a bank/casino raid
- kill sinz
- please reply to this with anymore suggestions! ^^

obviously you don't want people completing the pass within a day but there should be a form of grind anyone can do at any given time, else this is just not worth the real money if there is going to be another pass bc it is a bummer for some who cannot even play at set times especially those with much different time zones.

Potential Issues/Exploits:
people can farm some of the above mentioned, so if a threshold is met for the same thing over and over, will no longer reward xp for that particular activity for 12 hours. only things that require actual human interaction should be able to give consistent xp without being limited.

this should also be tested accordingly to ensure that it is not giving too much or little xp for what it is worth, remember it's supposed to be something you can complete within at least a week or two for an average player if they consistently play the server.

Additional notes: survival should always be significantly more rewarding and the meta for xp
