TOPIC: PSA Search forums before u make a ttt suggestion

This is mostly for TTT suggestions because i don't look at other server's suggestions. Things i say in here probably could apply to other servers suggestions but they might not.

Before you make a suggestion, please search the forums because your suggestion has probably already been made and been declined. I'm not trying to discourage you from making a suggestion but if you don't search the forums you'll most likely waste time making a suggestion which has been repeatedly made and declined.

First off, If you don't know how to search the forums


If you do find your suggestion then use common sense but here's some advice.


This post isn't perfect but can we please pin a post like this at the top of suggestions titled ,read before you make a TTT suggestion, to stop people making the same suggestions weekly. If someone isn't searching the forums for their suggestion then they won't find this. Most people find the template thread so they would probably see a post like this too if it was pinned.
Also It will be ironic if this thread has already been made before but i can't find so newer players won't be able to either which is the point.

Also sorry for broken title but i couldn't really do much before of the character limit.

So don't make a suggestion that's been declined unless you think it could now be accepted then make a suggestion that has been declined?

why have you made a suggestion to people to search for suggestions in case someone else has already suggested their suggestion

As you said, people might chose to remake old suggestions because they have new ideas on how it could be done, or because they want people's feedback on it. Some of the suggestions were denied when very little of the current staff were staff and they want to see what people think about it now.

Even if it's going to be denied, I don't really see the harm in it.

From a quick search 2/5 of the suggestions in the last week were repeats and i'd say that's pretty standard , one of them was removing props and that has been suggested twice before and the second time was by you. These aren't suggested that often but other things are like changing the rdm rules, changing the diamond block rules, asking for buffs / nerfs. adding more maps to s1 are suggested pretty often without people realizing they are repeats.

More people knowing about how to search for a post = better for everyone

Peoples can and are encouraged to re-write a suggestion if its necessary to give more in depth ideas and details you know
However what's bad is to steal or copy someone's idea (whether or not adding more of your own ideas) and claiming you had this idea and therefore SHOULD get credited
Anyways there's many good examples of suggestions being taken and remade, my Mosque suggestion previously made by Nafe and made again by me but slightly better (and denied by GNAR Anderson himself )

I never understand you TTT folk, why put TTT in the title when this clearly relates to all servers. TTT players think the world revolves around TTT. When we all know it revolves around Deathrun.

So you're saying once a suggestion is denied it should be forgotten about and not discussed anymore?

Nah let the people suggest what they want, it gives opportunities for discussion and debate.

I do not see the harm in letting people know that they can search the forums if they want to so they don't make a suggestion that's been made 2 times in the last month .
