I seriously do not get why you're all complaining about the knife.
Considering that you have to waste 2 coins for the knife and a decoy just to get one single free kill isn't OP in my opinion.
What I am hearing here is a lot of mimimi from people who get knifed frequently because I for example always knife Nep, Miia, Tom or whoever else from the rest of the staff team is online.
I think it's a fun weapon to use and it surely annoys me when I walk down the map, expecting nothing bad to happen and suddenly I die because someone stabbed me from behind but in my next T round I'll be able to have the same fun as the guy who just knifed me so I think its fine.
You do not have to waste a credit on a decoy at all. Thats hardly a waste, most smart traitors will pick up a decoy anyway cus its kinda one of the only good things in the t shop. There are many ways to get around the DNA problem even without a decoy. You could hide the body, dump it in lava, bring it into t room or the most effective strategy, just identify it immediately after you knife it. 9 times out of 10 that will work because the amount of time it takes to draw a knife and kill is so small you can barely see the animation change and as the knife vanishes after you kill if you identify the body it looks like they were sniped. Very few people will inspect an already inspected body and see that they were actually knifed.
The focus is another big problem. Im sorry but the knife in its current form is annoying. It is not fun to get focused every time someone is a traitor and then have no chance to defend yourself. You cannot fight a knife even if they draw it and run at you head on, even the shotgun will no longer stop them as it struggle to one hit after the nerf, you need a perfect headshot just to kill an innocent let alone someone with body armour.
There was nothing wrong with the knife before the update. It was only underused because it actually required some level of skill and actually had a risk to using it.
