TOPIC: [TTT Poll] Your opinion on the knife

Hello fellow staff and TTT users,

We of the LT would like to have your opinion about a simple matter on TTT added quite recently :

THE NEW FUCKING DEADLY KNIFE

As you guys already know by now, the knife is currenlty a one-hit killing weapon.
It is quite deadly and effective, while remaining silent of course.

As more and more complaints are heard, we would like to hear the genuine opinion from everyone playing the server at the moment.

At first I thought it was great a 1 hit kill weapon.. after playing A LOT more with it I now think it ruines the gameplay there's nothing hard about it, you take out anyone you want and you can play it off so easy.

The two hit kill or hitting from the back 1 hit kill would be okay.

Currently it needs to be changed IMO

I always felt the knife was a high risk, high reward weapon. Killing someone with it only increases your chances of being detected whether its by a witness or DNA.

If a large group of the playerbase dislike its current place it should probably be revisited. I like the adjustment you've suggested in youe OP.

I agree with kurze, IMO its fine to have the knife one shot from behind. But if I enter a room and someone is just sitting at the door with a knife, there is actually nothing I can do.

I think it should be a one hit on the back but not on your front. But untill that's fixed I think it should do 75 damage.

1 hit kill with a backstab, 50/75hp off with a front stab

The knife currently is such a high risk weapon. There is so much risk involved when walking into a crowd of people, going straight up to a detectives face and stabbing him, then walking out unharmed. So much risk.

+ the high risk is the DNA which you can simply get rid off by placing a decoy with the credits you just got from knifing a detective. And most of the players don't even use DNA anyways and the ones that do effectively just get stabbed and focused.

Mind you the thing we are discussing here is not a permanent solution rather how we want to deal with the knife pending an update to its balance as it isn't currently in the place Bezzy wanted it to be in.

I seriously do not get why you're all complaining about the knife.

Considering that you have to waste 2 coins for the knife and a decoy just to get one single free kill isn't OP in my opinion.

What I am hearing here is a lot of mimimi from people who get knifed frequently because I for example always knife Nep, Miia, Tom or whoever else from the rest of the staff team is online.

I think it's a fun weapon to use and it surely annoys me when I walk down the map, expecting nothing bad to happen and suddenly I die because someone stabbed me from behind but in my next T round I'll be able to have the same fun as the guy who just knifed me so I think its fine.

The focus is another big problem. Im sorry but the knife in its current form is annoying. It is not fun to get focused every time someone is a traitor and then have no chance to defend yourself. You cannot fight a knife even if they draw it and run at you head on, even the shotgun will no longer stop them as it struggle to one hit after the nerf, you need a perfect headshot just to kill an innocent let alone someone with body armour.

There was nothing wrong with the knife before the update. It was only underused because it actually required some level of skill and actually had a risk to using it.

EMP has changed the knife damage to 50 for the time being until we can make the backstab change. So for those that seriously didn't like the knife change, you're welcome.
