TOPIC: Message to ALL SSRP Staff Members...

Over the past week or two myself and a few other lead team members have been getting a few reports that admins appear to be spectating other members of the staff team. I want to give you guys who are doing this and to future admins a reminder that this isn't something they should be doing.

Just because you have access to this command doesn't mean you should be using it to catch other staff members "breaking rules". Admins are given this power so they can further help themselves catch and deal with rulebreakers. If you truly feel that a staff member is breaking rules or abusing then you should bring the matter up with a lead team member so they can deal with the problem effectively.

As the lead team, we are the ones who should be spectating the staff members to be sure they are doing their job correctly and not doing things they shouldn't be.

Again, if you have an issue with another staff member who you feel may be breaking rules or abusing their power you should bring it to a lead team member for them to deal with. Admins lack the tools to deal with these kinds of things and can usually end up making situations worse just by simply spectating each other.

I’m actually curious of the severity and consequences, I’ve never been staff and if your just trying to make sure a staff member is doing there job correctly that seems ok. But I also understand that it’s the higher ups job to do that.

It's the lead team's job to ensure moderators and admins are handling situations correctly, portraying the rest of the team in good light but also not breaking rules themselves (obviously, moderators and admins should also do their due diligence). Super admins+ have access to the necessary facilities to log any information they get on staff who may be misbehaving or otherwise not fulfilling their role properly. There's obviously a trust element in the mix too.
