Server Name: SSRP 1/2/3

Suggestion Title: Destroyable Metal Detectors

How would it benefit the server: Making raiding more fair since people use the metal detectors to slow down people and make them not be able to run in a base quickly.

Potential Issues/Exploits: N/A

Additional notes: Metal Detectors are in the SSRP servers so they can be used to scan and tell you if someone has a gun on them. Lately people are using metal detectors to slow down people during raids by putting them in front of each other so it gets really hard to run in a base. A good idea to fix this is making Metal Detectors destroyable with special weapons like any other prop.

I feel like it's more of a feature than anything else. It can be really useful considering all the op stuff.

It will still be useful just the way it is but the only difference is that it could be destroyed with a special weapon so I don't really see how that is a bad thing.

While I do think that there should be some Modifications to this Metal Detectors are so abused right now Raiding is just worthless.
It honestly annoys me so much the fact that people use it "legitimately" when in reality they use it as a base material so it just creates a immovable pathway users need to maneuver around.

Yeah, I see where your coming from but I think we need the op defence to counteract the op offense.

Yeah, I see where your coming from but I think we need the op defence to counteract the op offense.
Metal Detectors should not be used for defense, they are there to scan for weapons not so they can be used to slow down people in raids.

all salty frag angels members that cant raid our base is +supporting.

:: I dont find this neccesary at all tho, the easiest thing would be to make a rule that states that you cant use them in bases, only use them in rp houses etc. It's really hard defending bases nowadays without metal detectors, you have people raiding with amphetamine, morphine / suits / explosives - Metal detectors are a good way to give the defenders a chance to defend themselves, removing this would simply mean raiders once again will have the upper hand.

As Jabbe said Defenders finaly have the upper hand which they should have since we are the ones risking to lose our printers and we have to constantly be on our guard. And since the raiders can keep raiding every 10 minutes until they win the odds must favour the defenders to create balance.

Otherwise people are just gonna go back to complaining how no one on Zarp bases anymore.

Well put, removing something that benefits defenders would be dumb, since defenders already have a hard time pushing off 6 people raiding for 30min straight, which happened yesterday right flex ;)

- May I point out why this suggestion is really bad?
: Raiders can loophold a raid, and basically raid for 30 minutes straight, this is something that needs FIX, because it makes raiding so much more op than defending. Why would you EVER nerf defending, when raiders have the upper hand by miles?

Beacuse you're spamming tguns and its impossible to get in whatsoever?

I see a lot of people using this excuse, it's not impossible to get in. Cameron got in and destroyed some gpps but we managed to kill him before he got everything.
Other people have always gotten in before. Also, you guys used my base dupe, used jugg suits, used t guns, but I still managed to raid you guys, so obviously it's just a bad excuse, and it's raidable.
People used to cry that elevator bases also were unraidable, which 1 is false, and 2 a bad excuse if you are a bad raider.

Im giving this a minus support because of the fact that without the metal detectors, people would just rush the base with amphetamine and morphine. Like others have said, this finally gives the defenders the upper hand in bases because all you needed to raid bases in the past was a couple of hc shots and drugs.
