TOPIC: [SSRP 1] Change Spawn Plaza | "The Zub"

Suggestion Title: Change Spawn Plaza | Turn spawn into a player Hub (Zarp Hub ~ The Zub)

How would it benefit the server: Would drastically reduce CDM. Open up the spawn plaza creating more space for player interaction (stores, gambling stations, etc.).

Potential Issues/Exploits: New version of the map has to be made

Additional notes: The spawn area is very prone to CDM specifically, but I also feel can be slightly changed making it much more inviting for player interaction. By opening up the spawn area more and turning into more of a central "Hub" to the map I think there would be significantly less CDM, more shops, and more unique dupes for gambling and other activities.

By restricting car access into the spawn entirely either by adjusting the positions of the barricades or creating a bridge/tunnel of some sort. Either way, The Zub would be a much safer place for people to build, gamble, and sell their items than the current spawn.



With no cars being able to pass through these barricades should also be removed, completely opening up the spawn area and turning it into a true player hub. With all this now open space there is a lot more room for player built dupes.

It should also be an area with no explosives.

i personally don't like this idea, I like the way the map connects via roads, there isn't a point in there being a road there if cars cant pass through, all I see this being is a nuisance

Great idea it would cause less CDM! but they have to edit map

+1 if the map gets a tunnel created for cars to pass through and force them round the fountain or residential district

+100 if we get a underground to spawn where shops can go to not clutter the top

make a underground tunnel under spawn for cars to go under and have spawn on top

I like this, cars are a hassle in spawn and only cause CDM usually.

Less CDM = fucking great

As seen by my very skilfully drawn edit above, allowing cars to drive under spawn enables the map to function the same, cars will still be able to pass through and I think it would add a much better look, plus just adding a few small barriers in the way doesn't really help as much as this would, as anyone could just place a prop down and drive over, which there being a ramp down under the spawn makes that a lot harder and obvious, letting staff pick up on it much easier.

For users to walk out of spawn I would suggest cutting out part of the tunnel to allow the paths on both ends to connect altogether allowing the map to connect and function a lot better

This is your suggestion but I didn't really like it so I added what I thought would be nice, I'm really not sure how doable this is at all but this is what I would like to see added

I like this suggestion but definitely agree with Sada that there needs to be an actual tunnel/bridge as I usually use the spawn area to pass by a lot, not CDMing. This has always been a problem with S1 which has caused a lot of chaos/reports. I definitely hope this gets accepted and there is a bridge/tunnel. Good idea, it's a definite for me.

No need to make a new version of the map, just update the map by placing props instead of making theses bollars in Hammer
but with Hammer, that would be more esthetic
