TOPIC: Suggestion/question.

since this is also a suggestion I will be using the template.

Suggestion Title: Adding the district map somewhere in the HUD

How would it benefit the server: New comers or even just players will know where everything is without looking at the forums.

Potential Issues/Exploits: None I can think of

Additional notes: Now I don't know if this would be against the rules but I can code a bit so I have made a script that will just add the mini map on my screen. Is this allowed or should I delete it (I figured it would be since I don't have an advantage over players)

Since when does adding a mini map telling you all the district make it CSGO. Multiple other games have minimaps EVEN some gamemodes in gmod..

Not needed yet its helpful to new players who don't know the districts like the back of their hand. and humm your saying its not "realistic" Well does that make the whole HUD unrealistic since in real life you won't know how much Health you have or even be able to pick a job without an application. Semi serious RP not Serious meaning its not going for realism its going for fun

I have actually but it was for star wars rp. and why should we make the server unoriginal and make it like all the other servers? (not saying its unorignal its probably one of the better servers because it doesn't have 500 addons and still manages to keep the rp in it)

I think its a good idea but that you can like turn it on and off. Its better for new players, it can show the NPC's on the map so they know where everything to find. And how the fuck isnt it realistic? so if you're lost you think a map isnt realisitic? when i cant find anything i open google maps, and thats sort of the same thing so it would only be good to add it.

Sounds like a good idea as long as it can actually be done and implemented well. Also for me to support it would have to be able to be toggled on and off. Maybe even instead of a map there'd be a way to put text somewhere on the HUD telling them which district they're in, and if being there means they're breaking NLR.

Ex.
District: Suburbs (NLR)

I really like this idea!

Benefits:

1. The map shows you where are the npcs and the name of the districts, this can be really useful so new players wont make f1s like " where are the mines or where is the pd ".

2. It could like show you the name of the district that you are in, and it tells you if you are breaking nlr too ( Viking's idea ) as many players forget that they are breaking nlr so it will be really useful.

To answer your question you are most definitely not allowed to use any form lua modifications.

IIRC there is a minimap at spawn on rockford.
