New way of choosing SSRP SA

How would it benefit the server:
A lot of players both staff and non-staff agree that the current system needs to be changed. For the uninformed, currently the when a super admin position is available the lead team will discus potential candidates in privet and then vote on one they choose as the new super admin.

My suggestion is to change to current system to the flowing:

1. A super admin slot becomes available
2. During the admin meeting, All staff present will choose one other admin they feel deserves a promotion
3. The staff will then PM/Poke their choice to the meeting host
4. The votes will bee counted and the process repeated until 3 candidates are selected
5. The admin meeting will end and the lead team will begin
6. The super admins can now discus the 3 candidates until one is selected as the new SA

Potential Issues/Exploits:

Please if you have any suggestion to improve this new system posted them below in the reply.

People will probably vote for their best friend or vote4vote with other admins. The current system is fine in my eyes, you get picked once the other super-admins think you're ready.

I think this will be very beneficial; I think that Administrators should be able to have a say on who becomes promoted or not, but that's just my opinion.

EDIT: I do agree with what IllusioN has said though; people may just vote for their friends, which would ruin everything. I guess if this does pass, staff need to be mature and think about who they are voting for.

SA should not be something people vote on when there's an open slot. Just because there is an open slot doesn't mean there needs to be a promotion. The way it is now is fine as you will get picked if you excel and go above and beyond as an admin and you show you are trustworthy by your actions and being on the server not how well you can get people to vote for you and like you. SA should not be something everyone is trying to get every week, it should stay as it is and when you show that you are ready and trustworthy through your actions on the server then you may get promoted.

Well, here's my opinion on the matter.

It's a great idea Geoffery, but sadly, throughout our lives we realize one person can ruin a situation for everyone. In this case, people start voting for their friends, and not people who really deserve it. The way it works now, is just fine, we get people who deserve it, and are good at what they do. If there was another suggested version of this that eliminates the friend voting aspect, i'd be all over this idea, but for now, I cannot see it ever being implemented.

This was voted on at the admin meeting, and they decided not to approve the system for the Lead Team to decide on.

The general consensus was that the system isn't suitable, and so will not be implemented.
