Personally, I think it'd be quite entertaining for older players to come on, go to the Hollow Field and be able to base the way they did five years ago without worrying about any crazy weapons or anything blowing up their shit.
Basing, at the moment, is difficult. The gang bases are okay, but they do pump a *lot* of money into the economy that can be quite damaging. This could allow players to have an equal battleground.
I would be in there very often, two things on my mind.
Would this area allow new printers?
And would this completely disable special weapons or allow og speical tiems , i.e milkor, m202 ect, because of the broken economy people have hundreds of these items so could just perma spam them to raid which is not what the old experience was like, I would have been scared to lose one milkor in a raid
That's a very valid question. You're right, a lot of people in the server have hundreds of the OG special weapons. I imagine if we wanted to
truly level the playing field, we could add in certain factors, like perhaps a limit on how many special weapons we're allowed to carry in, if any - I initially suggested it with the intention of no specials whatsoever. Some players have suggested they wanted a server even before explosives - as they break the props.
I suppose the real question here is if we want props to be destroyable in the Hollow Field with explosives. As even these can ruin a new player's day. I'd say no explosives at all, but I'd also be open to specifying a limit, or allowing players to pre-select what their "loadout" will be in the hollow field, and they only get to use these weapons once a day or something.
As for new printers, I did say that one might benefit from anything up to Gold Plated - as that was the standard for powerful printers for quite some time. That said, in the current economy, it might not afford players that much of a strategic advantage against the massive price inflation of various goods. So, I suppose this one is down to how much people want pumped into the economy.

This would also be a great way of seeing if people want, and would stick to a "classic" server. If people are basing exclusively in the Hollow area then it's pretty clear a classic server is needed!

I'm not gonna lie to you, Jeppe. Honestly, I would still love to see a Classic Server. Even as a hardcore collector of the items - I honestly wouldn't mind sacrificing them all to start again in the Classic (while retaining them in the normal, up to date server).
