Realistically, this isn't necessary. Sure, more player MIGHT get the item they coin-flipped for, but most scammers usually don't even have the item in the first place. Those who do have the items will inevitably end up refunding the player anyway because they want to re-join the server.
It's just that me and a couple of other people that I've been friends with have had this happen to them where they refused to pay the item.
Okay then they stay banned  Just dont coinflip or use a middleman :woohoo:
What does that have anything to do with me being banned?
I didnt say anything about you being banned
Oh shit, you're right, I missed the "they" you wrote. Sorry about that.

If they don't have the item then the usual just happens. But if they do, then it gets moved from the scammer to the victim. And okay, maybe only CM should be able to do so, and the victim should do a forum post with proof or something

Yeah but then what if a head admins steals items from a player who owns an inventory with alot of items and cash, they simply wouldn't notice?

Edit: Basically, head admins may abuse before they leave the server and maybe take vengeance against people.

But if the scammer has the item then he should literally be forced to pay up. At least in my opinion

Are you silly? He is forced to pay up, if he wants to rejoin the server then he pays.

This would be extremely dangerous.

Not 100% on this so Chute/DEAD feel free to correct me on this but: moving items from inventories requires access to the database. Everytime someone has been wiped Chute has to get involved to wipe the entry from the right table(s).

In the wrong hands, this could be extremely dangerous and definitely should not be opened up to Community Managers let alone Head Admins.

How about you record yourself giving an item to a trustable staff member along with the other participant in the coinflip doing the same, and have the staff member act as a middle man?
Surely this idea will lower the amount of scamming that occurs no?

If that's the case then I completely understand. I thought there could be a command or something and then logs to make sure the CM wouldn't be able to get away with just taking the item or something.

There are just times that admins don't have time to middleman. This suggestion was just made to make sure scam victims get their items if the scammer has it. I understand there are flaws in it but people could probably figure a way to make this work without any risks.

Are you silly? He is forced to pay up, if he wants to rejoin the server then he pays.
What if he doesn't want to rejoin? Then he just successfully scammed someone. The victim didn't get their winnings. There should be a system where if the scammer has the item but doesn't want to pay up the victim still gets their winnings. And of course, the scammer would still be punished for attempting to scam.

The one thing im confused on here is people normally scam because "they don't have the items". They scam as a last possible thing to make money. I.e "i cf'ed all my inventory" people know im rich and i go in for 50b cf. I have nothing left why would they take anything. Sorry if I cf'ed for a gjug and they guy scammed, if the admin/Ha offers me "10 nanos" as compensation i'd say fuck no lol

And what if they want to join back but can't pay because their item got taken away?
They won't be permanently banned obviously. But they will be punished.

There are still people that have scammed with having the item but not wanting to pay up. I've been a victim of this as well as other people.
