SSRP Suggestion

Server Name:

SSRP 1,2,3

Suggestion Title:

Give all staff (or admin+) the ability to remove NLR from players through the TAB menu/logs!

How would it benefit the server:

Stop players from being falsely warned for NLR after they got RDM'd...

Potential Issues/Exploits:

None!

Additional notes:

Could add this on the TAB menu. This tool/menu will only be used if proof is given or the staff member witnesses the player being wrongly killed!

I tried telling a user off/given a verbal once for NLRing but DEADMONSTOR told me the user was RDM'd... If an owner tells me it's fine for him to stay in the district it shows that obviously it's not void...

This isn't too beneficial for the players, and writing "None!" on Potential Issues is somewhat optimistic.

If someone has an NLR that is false or incorrect, it's as simple as just ignoring the NLR and moving on. There's no need to remove it as it doesn't have any significance whatsoever. Perhaps it can be good to avoid confusion between staff members but that is only an issue in a small number of scenarios.

The issue with this is that staff members may choose to abuse this feature to give themselves - or their friends - an easy NLR bypass. Obviously, it's not every day a staff member abuses their powers, but it is to be considered.

Overall, this doesn't seem worth it. There's no significant benefit to it, and the benefits simply can't outweigh the problems in this case.

Fair enough I guess, was told in the past otherwise.

i feel like certain staff members would use this against people, to explain if someone is rdm'd and you go back to the same district. they can say "well a staff member never removed it so you must be breaking the rules."

NLR, meaning new life rule, you cannot return to the place of your death and or interacting with the district you died in, is under the character rules section (aka roleplay rules.) RDM, is also under roleplay rules, meaning in order to kill someone you must have a roleplay reason to do so, so killing someone for no reason, is not roleplay, and NLR is also a roleplay rule that is used to prevent going back to were you died for a non-roleplay advantage, since RDM is not roleplay then nlr shouldn’t be valid since it is not roleplay.

Although, some people have different opinions.

X was rdm’d and he already gave proof to the admins and the rule breakers were punished but he isn’t breaking breaking nlr unfortunately.

I know your trying to be funny and annoying but technically it isn’t RDM, it was a mugging.

I have to agree with Rick. Personally I don’t see the pros outweighing the cons on this one. If you are RDM’d then your NLR obviously shouldn’t apply but 9 times out of 10 it’s not communicated between staff but if anything that’s what could be worked on since at the moment, nobody really knows unless specifically told.

i have thought about this, but after thinking for long i found that its a bad idea, it can be abused, especially there will be probably some staffs that can easly make a deal with their Friend-player, Eg : he Gives Him a suit or anything vs deleting him his NLR for 1 month...

I do personally think admins+ should have the ability to cancel other users NLR timers through the active NLR menu, when done so the NLR timer on the other users screen will play the sound and go green like when the timer ends usually but instead stating "a staff member has ended your NLR, you may return to the district" or something.

Big support!

I saw this implemented on other servers and i think ZARP's SSRP servers should have this option as well. This will easily neutralize all inconveniences and false punishments for/regarding NLR.

If this was implemented I wouldn't have to stalk players to make sure they don't get earned after telling them they're allowed to go back to the district.
