How would it benefit the server:
This rule change will benefit the staff team whilst dealing with life checks, its tricky enough as it is let alone people calling it non stop.

Changed to:
2.3a Life-Check
To life check in-game you must type rather than use your microphone. You must be a detective to start a life check and wait a minimum of 2 minutes to call a life check, everyone must be given sufficient warnings and ample time(20 seconds) to respond. Once a good amount of time has passed you may call a KOS if someone has failed to respond. An example of a correct life check is as shown: "Lifecheck - Respond or KOS"

Potential Issues/Exploits:

None, people who use it now are people who love to cause chaos on the server and as a staff member its horrible to deal with it.

I know this has been declined in the past but this is something that must change.

Starting the beginning of your round and seeing a detective calling Life check is horrible. They won't stop until they have killed x amount of people with it and say "it's not in the rules so I'm allowed to do this"

I have no clue as to what we are talking about here, but I'll support this anyways!

I'm yet to deal with anyone abusing this so far, but I can see why it would be annoying and cause a lot of trouble.

Common sense would dictate that this is not allowed, as it would be ridiculous.
Common sense should always be applied to rules, and staff members should take that into account when giving out punishments.
I guess it could be useful if people don't understand that, and would like the clarification, but all in all, it is just a loophole that people use to allow this, which they can then be punished for.

Edit-also isnt the whole point of a lifecheck to find the people who dont answer as they are denying the detective and remaining players valuable information about the game? Maybe i just like chaos but if detectives want to get rid of the innocents who refuse to listen to them then fuck it why not let them. Being serious tho this rule change should not be implemented , at least not like this. A lifecheck can be called at anytime during a round and have a legitimate reason for calling it with the intent not to cause chaos, because some people are idiots(the people who like to lose their karma and those who cant read) is not a reason for this rule that limits detectives. When there are fewer players on the server a large portion of the players can die very quickly so lifechecks are far more important and performed a lot sooner into the round. Even when the server is full responsible life checks are still useful. for example i see someone enter the t room(start of the round) and do not see their name, i call a lifecheck then wait for people to come out of the nether and kill those who didnt respond.
