Steam Name: Sora
How do you feel that your time as an administrator has contributed to becoming a super administrator:
While I know that my time as Administrator is very short I do believe I could do so much more to help the community with the powers bestowed on a Super Admin. During my time as Admin, I've encountered nearly every situation you can imagine when it comes to users who join the server with the sole intent to ruin every player's fun and make their SSRP experience a living hell. During my time as staff on ZARP, I've always helped any staff member who needed help or any clarification on a rule to the best of my knowledge. I've also encountered countless hackers on the server all who I brought to the attention of an LT member only to have them banned shortly after, I have a good judgment when it comes to spotting cheaters. It doesn't stop there, I am extremely passionate when it comes to assisting any and all staff members that are in need of guidance and assistance whenever they are uncertain of themselves in a sit or with a report or appeal. I have the drive to move on to the next level to help assist the community in every single way I can so that everyone may have the best experience possible.
What makes you a good candidate for the super administrator team? ( in this part you can go as detailed as you want):
Activity
Since I've made my return to the FP and ZARP community I've been one of the most consistent and active players on the servers. I am extremely easy to get in contact with anytime I am on through teamspeak or steam. I'd like to take pride in the fact that I am so easily contactable whether it's for staff needs on other servers, any questions a player has, or just needed to talk. When it came down to it I can be easily contacted through text out of game when I am away from my computer if need be making contacting me easily done at any and all times.
Leadership
Out of game, I participated in many sports through school which first shaped me in being a leader, I was captain of my football team for 4 years helping to lead the team every game. In-game and out I have a leader-type personality willing to take charge and help lead others to strive to be the best they can be with help and guidance whenever needed. I'm willing to help take charge of anything that comes my way to help better any situation in and out of game to keep everyone's experience the best it may be.
Dedication
I've never been one to jump ship community to community or game to game, once I dedicate my time to one community and game I keep it that way. I believe loyalty is an extremely important aspect to anyone who wishes to be a member of the lead team. After my first community shut down back in 2010 I moved to FP which I stayed in and played until roughly mid-2015 when I decided to resign from my position as Administrator on FP. Ever since returning to the community the dedication I feel for the servers it no different and I plan on staying here for the long run to help better the community in any way I can. I enjoy the servers very much and the people in the community are something special and I would love to take the one step further to help even more.
Experience
Garry's Mod has always been one of my main games throughout my teenage years and through just about all of it I was staffing on RP servers. When it comes to having long term staffing experience throughout Garry's Mod my resume is extremely big. Throughout the times Garry's Mod has been the main game I play I've accumulated over 5 years of staffing experience encountering just about any and all situations you could imagine. I am no stranger to leadership roles and experience within my time of staffing and I know it takes a lot of dedication and understanding of how a community works but I have the drive and experience to help the best I can for the times to come.
Trust
I openly admit I had a moment of weakness before I thought I was going to rejoin the communities again and I'd like to say I have paid the price for it and have learned a great deal from that mistake. But I would also like to say I have more than made up for it in every single way I can. I believe I have more than paid for it and anyone who has had any interaction with me knows it would never happen again. Not many people would be willing to admit this on an application. I really believe I am currently one of the more trusted members of the staff team after I've been trying to this day still to prove myself to everyone and making the best use of the second chance I was given. Since that mistake, I have never once betrayed the trust of anyone in this community and never will. As of now I believe I have regained the trust of my peers again and would like to make the most use of my dedication and trust within the server to help better it in every single way I can in and out of game so that the environment of the ZARP community is a very welcoming and friendly one.
Explain a situation as an administrator you encountered that was an obstacle that required the help of a lead team member but you had to work around it when no lead team member was available:
Multiple nights where I've had a hard suspicion of someone hacking I've had to attempt to get an LT member on during times where none are online. The best I was able to do with my given powers at the time was trying to take note of their username, steamid, and steam profile so I could recognize them the next time they were on so I could bring it to the attention of a lead team member. The next day the user returned and I brought it to the attention of an SA who was able to successfully find something on the anti-cheat and they later were banned. Another situation is where multiple staff members were arguing with each other and it looked like it wasn't going to die down anytime soon or they weren't listening to the others who were telling them to cool down. It required the attention of a lead team member who needed to step in to settle it so that the staff team could return to working together as one rather than against one another.
Explain how you would review and handle an abuse report against another staff member:
I would first review the evidence so I could conclude if abuse took place during the situation. If there was abuse, I would approach the user who made the report for any more details he could give me. I would then approach the staff member in question and talk to them about the actions that took place during the evidence and question them on it so I would have a better understanding of what went down and get both sides to the story with the given evidence. Afterward, if I concluded the evidence was sufficient enough, and after talking to both parties I would put my response on the thread regarding the details of the situation and explain it would be brought up in the next lead team meeting. If there was no evidence but the report did go into great detail I would still like to contact the user and staff member to ask about it in-case of misunderstandings.
Accepted Report
Thank you for your report. After reviewing your report and speaking with all parties and consulting a few other lead team members I've decided to accept this report. The actions of this member were completely out of line and this will be brought up in the next lead team meeting.
Denied Report
After reviewing the evidence (if any) and speaking with all parties involved I've concluded that no abuse occurred here. As of now I am going to have to deny this report.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member bans a user for an excessive amount of time, how do you approach the staff member to ensure that everyone is treated fairly?
I would ask to speak to the staff member privately in teamspeak or steam chat to ask what made them think such an excessive punishment was warranted. I would then try to compromise with the staff member to see if we can find an outcome that would be a better fit for both parties to ensure everyone gets treated in a respectful and fair manner. I would go through the said users rapsheet with the staff member and the actions which caused them to be banned to see if there is a better compromise to the situation that best fits the ethos, even though it is a guideline an excessive punishment should still be talked about with the staff member in question to conclude there was no vendetta or bias towards the user that would warrant a biased punishment so that everyone gets treated fair and equally.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member is dealing with a user but is struggling to do so in an appropriate manner. How would you resolve the situation?
I would oversee the sit at first to see how it was previously behind handled, shortly after I would contact the staff member via teamspeak, steam, or admin chat to ask if I may step in to assist them to ensure they don't feel undermined if I were to just barge in. I would assist the staff member along the sit to ensure it goes efficiently and smoothly. Afterward, I would ask to talk to the staff member so I could better help them deal with sits they may struggle with and answer any and all questions they have regarding dealing with users and how to handle sits in an appropriate and efficient manner. I would then ask them to contact me if they ever needed help with something so I may help them in any way.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member accuses another staff member of breaking rules, how would you help resolve the situation?
I would ask to take both parties to a private teamspeak channel so that I may speak with them in a more direct manner rather than over chat if I possibly could. I would then give both staff members a chance to talk to me privately and afterward in the channel together as well as asking for any and all evidence both members could provide me. If there was evidence and it was a valid rule breach I would talk to the staff member in question like it was an abuse report. If not, I would try to talk it out with both members so a compromise could be made between the two and inform both members that the staff team is there to function as a team, not to be down each other's throats and against one another. Once a compromise had been made I would ask both members to please contact me first before accusing and arguing with one another to avoid a situation like that occurring again.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member acts in a disrespectful manner towards another staff member and or sparks an argument within the staff team. How do you resolve the situation?
I would inform both of them that arguing amongst each other solves nothing and that I would like to speak with them both privately so a compromise could be made. I would ask they both join me in teamspeak so that I may speak with each of them privately and in a more direct manner first before speaking to both at the same time. During the conversation to find a compromise, I would stress that the staff team is a team and are there to set a positive example to the users of ZARP and not to argue and be disrespectful to one another and that they should always carry themselves in a respectful and calm manner so that these kinds of situations can be avoided entirely. I would then inform both of them if they had a real problem with another staff member that it should be brought to the attention of a lead team member so that a compromise could be made between everyone so that situations like this can be avoided and not be there to set a bad example of themselves and the staff team. I would say that I am very disappointed that this couldn't have been brought to me before an argument got out of hand to the point that it was clear it was in distaste and inform both of them of the correct way to deal with these kinds of things.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
You spot a staff member breaking rules to the point of harming other users, how do you approach the staff member?
I would approach the staff member in question and ask to speak to them privately. Once in a private channel, I would ask them about the situation and why it took place. I would inform them that they are a member of the staff team and are there to set an example to users, and if a user sees actions like that it undermines the entire staff team and sets a bad example to where in the future that user may think it's alright if they do it too because they saw a member of staff do it. I would express my disappointment that their actions and disregard to the rules they are there to enforce caused harm to the users of the server and I would correct them on it. Depending on the severity of what they did and if they refused to believe they did anything wrong I would gather the correct evidence so it could be brought up to the lead team.
