And now... the proving grounds
Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario. -
Random Deathmatch, or RDM for short is a term given to when a player is constantly killing other players irrationally without any sense or for that matter - any reason at all. Example - Abraham Licoln starts killing everybody on the street with his LMG for no apparent reason. (Michael English gets killed in the process.
)
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario. -
New Life Rule or NLR for short is a term given to when a player dies, he CAN NOT come back to the same place he died at for 3 minutes. Example - George Washington shoots Michael English while robbing his gun store. Michael English can't come back to the gun store for the next 3 minutes due to the "New Life Rule".
Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario. -
Metagaming is a term given to when player uses external factors to affect the game, in this occasion - using OOC (out of character) information to benefit in IC (in character) roleplay. Basically, it's an exploit of out of game information to affect one's decisions. Example - George Lucas sees Michael English telling George Washington in OOC chat about his whereabouts so they can base together. George Lucas then raids that position.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.
Is the console shows it, and if player y gives no reason or some vague reason that is considered against the rules, then player y will be given a warning regarding RDM. (After that I tell them both to have a nice day and player y to read the rules!
)
Explain how you would handle the following situation:Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
If the console shows that the killing happened in time span lower than the time NLR restricted time, it's obvious player y has been breaking NLR and therefore should be warned. (After that I also tell them both to have a nice day and player y to read the rules!
)
Explain how you would handle the following situation:Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided
I can't do anything, that information "never happened" in roleplay! He must either /advert it or call the police (not using /ooc chat for that either of course). I would tell the player x that that doesn't count as an information people can use to roleplay since it's OOC and to use /advert for that kind of stuff.
Why I should be chosen: I will be honest here, I haven't been much interested in becoming a moderator on ZARP since I am just that kind of person who doesn't really like being something like that. However, after seeing that ZARP can be much more improved and perfected, I have set the goal for myself to help it possibly achieve that. So that's why I will uphold my moderator duties and continue to help ZARP community in any way.
