Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario.
When a person is shot at/killed when passive. So, not during a raid.
A person has just come from the general store making his way to the petrol station. He suddenly gets shot at and killed.
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario.
NLR is when a person is killed and they immediately (Before the displayed NLR time counts down)
During a raid on a gunshop, the owner is killed. Dispite the huge notice in the upper sectionof his screen, he doesnt want to lose all of his stuff so he runs back for revenge and kills the Thieves/Gangsters before his NLR timer has counted down.
Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario.
Metagaming, is when someone uses Out Of Character (OOC) chat to globally communicate with someone about affairs that should be handled in either /PM, direct chat or Advert.
Someone wants to ask another can he enter/join their base. However, they use OOC chat instead of Direct or /PM. Meaning that the whole server can see the message that only one person needs to see.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.
I would bring the two players to another location. I would then proceed to ask for any further information/proof (Either Video, Screenshot, or Witness) about the situation. If enough evidence was given to confirm that is was in fact an RDM I would, firstly, restate the rule of RDM, and then warn player y for 'RDM'. However, if not enough evidence was given to support player x's accusation, I would then let give a verbal warning and let the two players carry on with their DarkRP experience.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
Similar to the RDM situation, I would first seek more evidence to determine any other factors. If not enough evidence was given then I would restate the rule and let the players be on their way with a verbal warning. However, if enough evidence was given I would, again, restate the rule to make it clear, and then proceed to warn the player for 'NLR'.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided
I would warn the player for 'Metagaming' with a verbal warning. If the Metagaming continues, I would warn the player for 'Metagaming'
Why I should be chosen (longer answer expected here - at least 150 words).
Well...
Firstly, I've been playing on the server for probably the most time out of most of the people still playing. Also, before the server was bought and reset (adding a new map), I was a mod. I was successful in completing the (above) questions but on the spot. Also, I am great at solving tricky situations between people and can bring things to a peaceful end. Furthermore, I am always determined to stop any people from breaking rules and ruining others' experience while playing DarkRP. This is because in the time that I have been playing this server (while not a mod), my experience was always being ruined by people who would fading door abuse when in a raid, also they would NLR and RDM whenever they felt like it. I would like to become a moderator to make sure that none (or at least less) of that stuff happens to other players who are enjoying the experience of DarkRP. Also, I have recently purchased VIP so that shows a little more of my appreciation to the server and all of its players.
Thanks for reading my Moderator Application hope you take me into consideration.
