Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario:
Random DeathMatch (also referring to RDM) means that someone randomly kills you. A good example of this is that Morgan randomly shoot you in the face with his Desert Eagle or an another kind of gun. RDM is one of the most problematic rules of RP servers and usally ends up with a kick or in some rare cases, a ban.
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario:
New Life Rule - Each time you die you start a new life - all your previous memories are lost.
It is the most important Roleplaying rule of them all, it is what keeps the game at RP level. It would not be fun if a crook kills a cop and that same cop returns over and over again.
If someone was to break NLR once, they would get told that they have broken a rule and need to stop.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
You are handling a report in which player A accuses player B of killing them for no reason in a report via the F1 system.
I would Teleport to the Reporter and kindly ask if I could move them to a quieter location to discuss what has happened utilising the F1 menu. I would bring the accussed and ask both of them their sides of the story and if they are both different I would ask for proof of it being RDM if logs are not available. If no proof can be shown to me I would ask them both to keep evidence for the future and then return them to there locations and possibly have a chat with the accussed further to mitigate further occcurances. If there is proof I would punish the rule breaker according to the community guidelines or if it was an accident and they were remorseful I would probably leave them with a verbal warning in the first instance.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
You witness a user mass RDMing in spawn, killing many people constantly to the point where users are complaining.
I would immediately respond to the first report and freeze/jail the person doing the RDMing until I can assertain what has happened fully.
The player would then probably have a warning and be removed from the server after a full explanation as to why what they are doing is NOT acceptable.
should said player return to the server and continue to troll or RDM then they would unfortunatly leave little choice but to receive a short ban where they can take their case to the forum for a higher up admin to review.
Why I should be chosen (we recommend a minimum of around 150 words):
I’ve been an administrator and co-owner on other game servers (non-steam) and think that using my experience of those servers; I would be able to demonstrate the maturity and restraint required for a position on ZARP, which in turn would also benefit you as extra support for the other team members.
I used to play on the Friendly Players server everyday that I played Garry's mod, in fact, FP was 99% of the reason I went and purchased GMod after playing using my brothers account...
More and More I still see bad players come on the server to ruin it for the rest of us who are actually trying to role play. This would be something I'd be hoping to help curve and eventually stop.
I have always tried to be a good Role-Player and member when I'm on the server and so far (when the server isn’t being minged) have had an excellent experience and found the administrators and moderators are always willing to help and assist. But I thought now may be a good time to apply!
Thank you for taking the time to read this and happy RPing!
