How do you feel that your time as an administrator has contributed to becoming a super administrator:
I feel that since I was promoted from Moderator to Administrator, I have greatly improved my friendship with members of the community and have gained new knowledge about what to do in certain situations. I believe that I have a good understanding of the rules and commands such as ban,gag,kick,slay,etc. I feel that feedback is very important and appreciate it greatly. After receiving feedback, I do my best to ensure players get more enjoyment out of their time on the Zarp TTT server.
What makes you a good candidate for the super administrator team? ( in this part you can go as detailed as you want):
Activity:
I have only come back to the server in the last two weeks after taking time away to focus on exams. Since I have returned, I have tried greatly to push my time up and improve on my active time to compensate for my absence. Whenever there is a staff request on the Zarp Discord, I try my best to join the sever.
Attitude:
I try my best to maintain a good attitude no matter what. I feel that I treat other players as they treat me, which is usually good. When there is a problem between a few players on the server I try my best calm them down and make the game as enjoyable for everyone.
Forum/TeamSpeak Activity:
I do check the forums quite a lot to see anything upcoming and the latest news on the server. While I do use the forums, I can honestly say that I rarely use teamspeak if I am off the server, but if I am on the server and others are in a chat room I will join to have a chat with the staff members and fellow players
Experience :
While Zarp is the first server that I have been staff on, I feel that I have learned great things and met all sorts of people since I joined the staff back in winter. I know that being a Super Admin is a great deal on the Zarp server and hope that I can encourage others to join the staff team the way many others have done for me. Lotto, Kurze, CeeZee, Henny and RuleBreaker to name a few.
Explain a situation as an administrator you encountered that was an obstacle that required the help of a lead team member but you had to work around it when no lead team member was available:
I was on the server roughly a week ago, when a player who was speaking Spanish was being jeered at by another player and being told that this server was English only. I explained to him that this was not the case as many of our staff and players are of mixed nationalities. After the player understood what I told him, there was no confusion and we had a few great rounds of TTT.
Explain how you would review and handle an abuse report against another staff member:
I would look clearly at the evidence and ensure that both sides of the story are correct, ensuring that I have the story correct I create a chat between the victim and the reported staff member. I would allow the players to discuss the problem and ask the staff member to kindly apologise. If they do so and the victim forgives the reported player, we can learn to forgive and forget. But if the reported is not forgiven, I would ask the victim to post a report to the forums to brought up at the next LT meeting.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member bans a user for an excessive amount of time, how do you approach the staff member to ensure that everyone is treated fairly?
I would ask the staff member why they banned the user for an excessive amount of time after checking the rapsheet and seeing the offences committed. I would make sure if the player's previous ban (should they have one) is valid and check if the latest ban was excessive or not. I would explain to the staff member that the time given was too excessive and explain how they could improve their judgement in the future. Should this staff member not take my advice on board and continue with their offences I would speak to the team to come up with a solution to the problem.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member is dealing with a user but is struggling to do so in an appropriate manner. How would you resolve the situation?
I would simply ask the staff member to open a chat so that the situation can be dealt with appropriately and help the problem be sorted out fairly. After the situation is over, I would ensure the staff member should they need a second mind or advice, they are welcome to approach me at any time.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member accuses another staff member of breaking rules, how would you help resolve the situation?
Before I decide on who's guilty and innocent, I would ask the accuser for evidence to ensure the complaint is truthful. I would ask for both sides of the situation and ask them to join me in the staff teamspeak where we can sort out our problems and could use the help of a fellow staff member, if needs be. If the accused story does not line up with the accuser's and the accuser provides valid evidence I would ask the accuser to file a report on the forums. But if the accused is innocent and the accuser is lying, I would ask the accused staff member to revise over the rules and would ask them to speak to another staff member.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member acts in a disrespectful manner towards another staff member and or sparks an argument within the staff team. How do you resolve the situation?
The most important thing is a situation like this is to keep a level head until you hear both sides of the story as it allows you to find out what the problem is without stirring more trouble within the staff. Should this argument be in voice chat, I would ask them to come on TeamSpeak so that other players who are not involved, can enjoy the game peacefully. I would explain how unfair and unmannerly it is to act like that as a staff member. I would try my very best to resolve the situation before any serious action needs to be taken by the LT and encourage the players to simply move on. This has never been a problem on the server and I hope something like this never happens.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
You spot a staff member breaking rules to the point of harming other users, how do you approach the staff member?
I would ask the player to be a spectator before I have to do it myself, I would then ask them to join TeamSpeak so that we could discuss the problem. I would ask why they were targeting players and making the game unfair while abusing their power. I would encourage them to take a break from the server and read over the server rules to prevent this from happening again. I would inform the LT about the issue and ask them to advise the staff member on what to do. I believe that if a person is not acting like a staff member they should not be a staff member and I would be sure to tell the staff member to remember this so that it does not happen again before further action is taken.
