How do you feel that your time as an administrator has contributed to becoming a super administrator:
I am active on TS and on the forums every day and i am looking to extend it to the next level. My time as an administrator would help me as a super administrator as i have come across hackers and staff members who are finding it hard to deal with situations, which is where i stepped in. I think that I also try and interact with the players and link with other players within the community as i try and do everything fairly but keep a sense of enjoyment for all players to enjoy. I believe it is time for me to step up to the next level and become a Super Administrator! I actively attempt to handle every forum appeal and report abuse and attempt to assist any struggling staff member or user and clarify anything for them.
What makes you a good candidate for the super administrator team?
Attitude
Having fun is a core part of being a staff member and provoking enjoyment from others is also something i believe a staff member should always do, I always try to do this. I always keep my attitude correct and what is expected of a staff member, even going above the expectations. I remain calm and friendly when communicating with other members of the community whether it is on teamspeak, the forums or on the servers. I try to communicate with the community on the servers to try to provoke enjoyment and give players more reason to play the server, and like to believe I am a positive influence on other staff members and users.
Experience
I have a lot of experience as I have been Moderator on Murder and also an Administrator on Surf, Trouble In Terrorist Town, Bunny Hop, Semi-Serious RolePlay, Discord and Jailbreak. I am also a Prop Hunt Head Administrator and a Deathrun Super Administrator, making me believe I am ready to take on the role and the overall obstacle that is in front of me. I have been with the community for 1 year and 6 months, and I thoroughly know the rules and how to insert my powers and abilities in certain situations and have a large amount of time within Zarp, regarding the base policies and also the specific rules on deathrun.
Teamspeak Activity
I am active on Teamspeak and am almost always interacting with the community and the staff team. I am always trying to be on good terms with each staff member as I feel it is a virtue. I am always helping each staff member when they request help and due to my activity, I am readily available to be contacted. I am actively communicating and helping others on teamspeak with queries with the rules and policies as they arise, and I do my duties on there as well to the best of my abilities.
Explain a situation as an administrator you encountered that was an obstacle that required the help of a lead team member but you had to work around it when no lead team member was available:
As an administrator I have had to go through multiple problems to do with suspect hackers in which I had to consult a LT member, but before they could join the suspect hacker had left, only to come on days later, and the same problem happening again. This could have easily been preventable if I were SA at the time they were suspected. Another instance is when there was a staff member being rather immature and disregarding a few of the ethos and rules, in which I had to talk to a lead team member to deal with the issue at hand, where it could have been quicker and more efficient if I were able to deal with the staff member at the time of the rule breakings. I would also have been able to bring the staff member up in the lead team meeting.
Explain how you would review and handle an abuse report against another staff member:
Accepted
For minor abuse such as maybe teleporting someone whilst they are in RP which didn't affect the game in a massive way. I would resolve this by talking to them via steam or teamspeak, and then coming to a conclusion whilst keeping the comments and evidence by both parties in mind and coming to a conclusion from there. If this is a one off situation, then I would simply verbally warn the staff member in question to be more careful for future reference. If this is a recurring situation, then I would bring them up in the lead team meeting, considering their previous official warnings and/or demotion reasons when considering their punishment. I would post the outcome on the forums like this as such:
After looking through your evidence and speaking with you and the staff member, I have decided to accept your report and the staff member in question has been spoken to. I'm sorry this has happened to you and the staff member has realised their wrongdoing. The staff member has been talked to and will try to avoid certain situations like this in the future. If a situation like this occurs again you are free to make a report through my steam or post another report on the forums. The staff member may be brought up in the lead team meeting for their abuse. Thank you for the report! This has been
For more severe abuse, a retraining, a demotion or an emergency demotion could be the best solution to a problem. It really depends on how it affected players whilst they are on the server and whether it caused problems within the community. Firstly, I would ask the staff member to come onto teamspeak so i can discuss the situation with them, alerting them to their wrongdoings if they were unaware, which would be highly unlikely. I would then look at the evidence provided and talk to the staff member regarding the issue as a whole, how it can be avoided and how to properly handle their powers. I would then respond to the forum report as such:
After looking through your evidence and speaking with the staff member in question, I have decided to accept your report and the staff member in question has been spoken to. I'm sorry this has happened to you and the staff member has realised their wrongdoing. The staff member has been talked to and will try to avoid certain situations like this in the future. If a situation like this occurs again you are free to make a report through my steam or post another report on the forums. The staff member has been punished correctly for their wrongdoings and will be voted on within the lead team meetings. The staff member has been retrained and an appropriate punishment will be determined regarding their infringement of the rules and ethos. Thank you for the report! This has been
Denied
I would come to this outcome if the staff member has either not broken a rule or disregarded the ethos, or the reporter has not provided sufficient evidence or hasn't provided any at all. I would firstly review the evidence regarding the report abuse and determine whether the rules or ethos were disregarded in the situation. I would make sure the evidence properly shows the rules the staff member is accused of breaking, and in this situation, the evidence may be unclear.
After looking through the evidence I have decided to deny this report. The staff member was not in the wrong in this situation, I would recommend you familiarise yourself with the staff ethosand the server rules so you are informed about situations like this in the future. For further information or clarification, you are free to ask me on steam. You are free to provide further evidence but for now this has been denied. No action will be taken against the staff member in question.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member bans a user for an excessive amount of time, how do you approach the staff member to ensure that everyone is treated fairly?
I would ask the member if they had checked the player's rapsheet to see if they had any bans within 6 months and if they did, i would ask them why they banned the player for such a long time. After that i would ask the staff member if they banned the player because of a personal vendetta or for a different reason. I would message the staff member to come to speak in a steam chat or on teamspeak (depending if the players have it installed) and then ask then come to a reasonable conclusion with the staff member and the player, after that, I would remind the staff member of the staff ethos and tell them to make sure to follow them when dealing with problems. I would then talk to them about lowering the ban time to a suitable time and attempt to make them agree, but if they are not willing to edit the ban then I would contact a head administrator to consider overruling the punishment. I would then consider whether to bring the staff member in question up in the lead team meeting.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member is dealing with a user but is struggling to do so in an appropriate manner. How would you resolve the situation?
I would first help the staff member deal with the situation at hand, then i would talk to the staff member and remind them of the staff ethos and how to effectively deal with players. If the staff member was new, i would go through how to catch a rulebreaker with them and teach them how to effectively deal with disrespectful players and how to deal with certain situations. If they still do not understand, a retraining could be in order depending on the severity of the situation. If the staff member still is unable to handle situations correctly, I would ask them how they are struggling and then consider different ways to handle the situation at hand. If the staff member is unfit to perform their duties I would consider an emergency demotion or a punishment from the lead team meeting. I would also find out who initially trained them and talk to them about training staff members more effectively.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member accuses another staff member of breaking rules, how would you help resolve the situation?/color]
I would ask the staff member who is accusing the other staff member of breaking the rules and ask to see proof of them breaking rules, if the staff member has no proof then i would tell the staff member that there is not any evidence and it must be provided for another staff member to be taken into questioning. I would then begin to watch the reported staff member to see if they were breaking any tiles through the undercover command. I would also talk to the staff member accused of breaking the rules and ask if it was true that they were disregarding the rules, and if there was no evidence then I could use that to provide in the lead team meeting. If the staff member provides proof then i would warn the staff member of their wrong doing and depending on the severity of the situation I would either: retrain the staff member regarding the rules, emergency demote them due to their lack of knowledge of the rules, or bring them up in the meeting, where I and the rest of the team could vote on an appropriate punishment for the staff member.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member acts in a disrespectful manner towards another staff member and or sparks an argument within the staff team. How do you resolve the situation?
I would try to bring both parties into a teamspeak spacer to get to the root of the situation. I would ask both parties as to what led up to this confrontation, advising both staff members how to avoid situations as such. I would then privately message the reporting staff member to provide any evidence if possible. I would then consult the reported staff member and ask if they had in fact disrespected the staff member. If they admitted then I would not take any action, but simply verbally warn them. If the reported staff member decided to lie about the situation then I would show him the evidence, then I would bring the staff member up for an official warning or a demotion depending on whether this is a recurring issue or not.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
You spot a staff member breaking rules to the point of harming other users, how do you approach the staff member?
I would warn the staff member to stop and how their actions can have consequences and how it reflects on the rest of the staff team if a new player comes and sees a staff member breaking the rules that they are supposed to enforce. I would then remind the staff member of the rules and the staff ethos. Then, I would bring up the staff member in the lead team meeting for their complete disregard for the rules as well as retraining them and then if they decided to still break rules, I would then emergency demote them for their lack of knowledge or respect for the rules.
All Constructive feedback is accepted and I will take into consideration. Thank you.
