How do you feel that your time as an administrator has contributed to becoming a super administrator:
I have got over 1 year of staffing experience now which off 11 months is as an administrator. With some breaks in between due to school, I have had the chance to do over 1000 F1's, making me one of the most experienced admins currently working for the Zarp Staff Team.
What makes you a good candidate for the super administrator team? ( in this part you can go as detailed as you want):
Leadership
I have recently worked on my leadership skills especially as the CEO of Pegasus Corp, this required me to make decisions in regards to which staff I take and which not and has also made me the sole person to decide staffs fate. This is hard because you have to make decisions for other people and the only vote that counts is your own. I believe I could work much better in the lead team since you have a diverse spectrum of people whose insight I respect so we can reach the best decisions together. I'm able to motivate people to work and to put their time into staffing.
Trust
I have never received an official warning or demotion, this speaks about the trust that is put into me. I am trusted with powers, known as a person who abides by the rules with absolute precision. But I'm not perfect and I do make mistakes as well, but I'm able to accept when I did something wrong and work on this, enabling me to avoid this in future situations. I'm often consulted on staff questions when there is no higher up on the server and I'm usually able to deal with most situations due to my big spectrum of experiences.
Dedication
I have put huge dedication into the Zarp servers, staffing and attempting to improve the overall experience for staff members as well as members and I feel like I would have a better ability to bring my ideas to the lead team, my visions to make Zarp a better place for staff as well as players. And I'm grateful for all the people who work every day to ensure that players have the best experience possible.
Forums
I'm actively working in the appeals section and have recently started to handle more and more reports of players. It's important to deal with appeals and reports efficiently and quickly and I believe I have done a good job in that apart from the one time I did handle a situation inappropriately and not in accord with the handling policy. But I'm always willing to help people out and I do my best to work with the users if they make an appeal.
Conclusion
I feel like I have got the experience, the dedication, and the character to advance to the position of super admin. I have had good and bad experiences on Zarp and I have had people motivate me to go further on the staff team. Thank you for enabling me to do this, for making it possible for me to apply for the position of SA and thank you for supporting me. I will do my best to make Zarp a better place.
Explain a situation as an administrator you encountered that was an obstacle that required the help of a lead team member but you had to work around it when no lead team member was available:
I once encountered a situation where a moderator scammed another one and I was able to deal with the situation and convince them to compromise. I still reported the situation to the LT and it was taken care off. This and many other situations which would have required an LT member where thrown in my way and I feel like I do understand the responsibilities of an LT member.
Explain how you would review and handle an abuse report against another staff member:
First off I would read through the report with focus writing down the most important parts which I have to deal with. After that, I would personally attempt to contact the staff member who was reported to have a talk with him on Teamspeak. I would explain to him what he did or didn't do wrong and try to reach a verdict with him being able to explain the situation. Innocent until proven guilty! After that, I would post my verdict on the forums and bring him up in the SSRP Meeting dependent if it is necessary for the situation.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member bans a user for an excessive amount of time, how do you approach the staff member to ensure that everyone is treated fairly?
I would check my facts before approaching the staff member. Making sure the ban was actually over the top. If I'm unclear why the user was banned for an excessive amount of time I would approach the staff member, to talk about the ban and listen to his side of the story. After that, I would explain to him how the situation should have been taken care off according to the ethos and may ask him to adjust the punishment.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member is dealing with a user but is struggling to do so in an appropriate manner. How would you resolve the situation?
Dependent on if it is bad, I would either take over the sit and deal with the situation before the staff member continues to ruin the player's experience and then talk to him, or talk to him after he finished his sit. It's important that our staff members conduct themselves professionally and respectfully at all times!
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member accuses another staff member of breaking rules, how would you help resolve the situation?
Innocent until proven guilty. I would talk to both staff members and ask for proof, if my investigation is conclusive I would bring the staff member who is at fault up in the lead team meeting or talk to him. I would attempt to resolve the situation with great precision and try to get both sides as well as any proof or evidence to support each staff members story.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member acts in a disrespectful manner towards another staff member and or sparks an argument within the staff team. How do you resolve the situation?
Dependent if it is a valid argument or a very inappropriate fight I would either ask them to either take it out themselves on non-Zarp services or get them both in a Teamspeak channel and talk to them on how to argue respectfully and without being disrespectful. I would tolerate discussion, this is detrimental to a working team but disrespectful behavior or entirely wrong information cannot be tolerated.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
You spot a staff member breaking rules to the point of harming other users, how do you approach the staff member?
Dependent on if it is a blatant abuse of powers or an accidental rule break I would deal with the situations appropriately. In case of abuse, I would get a HA on to emergency demote the staff member until his fate can be decided upon during the LT meeting. If it is an accidental rule break a talking to might be more appropriate.
I have decided that it's time for me to make this step, I was unfortunatley hindered during the last week, but this week I'm going to do my best to live up to the expectations put into a future super admin. Thanks for reading this application and I would highly appreciate constructive feedback!
