How do you feel that your time as an administrator has contributed to becoming a super administrator:
throughout my time as an administrator i've faced a lot of different situations, but as an administrator i've had many new situations, apart from when i was mod, i've also learned a lot of new things that i didn't really know about. I've been witness to negative staff discussions in the server a couple of times, where i've always tried to stop it, but people doesn't seem to listen, and then its necessary to contact a lead team member, at that point it would be easier to stop if you had the rank as super admin.
What makes you a good candidate for the super administrator team? ( in this part you can go as detailed as you want):
activity:
my activity this week has been good,, throughout the christmas period i've been having a bit trouble because i have been very busy, i still got the 2 hours per week, but this week has been pretty good in my opinion and i tend to keep it that way, forever xD.
attitude:
i always keep my attitude in a way so i don't hurt people or make them mad, if people ask me for help i always try to find an answer. I always try to keep my attitude within the staff team good since we are a team so we all need to be able to communicate in a friendly way.
experience:
my experience on the server is very high, i always check up on the rules pretty much everyday to make sure everything is good, i’ve gained a lot of trust throughout my time as an administrator and i have never abused my commands in a harmful way to anyone, i’ve been in pretty much all situations and i’ve pretty much used every single command you have as an administrator to make sure no one is rule breaking.
trust:
throughout my time as an administrator i’ve gained a lot of trust not only to people on the server, but also within the staff team, i’ve been staff here for a total of 3-4 months counting my time back in 2015 as staff, and throughout that time i’ve met so many new people and i’ve gained friends, i am always friendly to people, and try to help them.
map exploit list:
me and Lemon made a map exploit list for the staff team to use, if this will be given to public is currently unknown, it is useful for handling exploits as well as knowing what is an exploit and what is not an exploit, making this kinda list for the staff team makes me stand out for helping the staff team as well as showing my dedication for being a lead team member.
Explain a situation as an administrator you encountered that was an obstacle that required the help of a lead team member but you had to work around it when no lead team member was available:
negative staff discussions:
in my time as an administrator i have been witness to some bad staff discussions, i’ve tried to stop it, but people doesn’t seem to listen when you are an administrator, being a lead team member shows higher rank and dedication, which means you should listen to that person instead of freaking out, you can easily tell them to calm down instead.
map cycle:
a couple of days ago i was playing helix late night, and everything was good at the beginning, we all got a bit tired of the map so we rtv’ed,, but when everyone had rtv’ed the map never changed, it was stuck on helix the whole night, at that point no lead team member was online to come and force change the map, and apparently shout vote is broken so there was nothing i could do, being a lead team member could have helped and i would have been able to force change the map.
meetings:
i was at a meeting once that was very delayed because no one could host the meeting, at that time i was only a moderator so i couldn't really do much, at that point being a lead team member could have sped up the process so we didn’t have to wait so long and then we could finish the meeting faster.
Explain how you would review and handle an abuse report against another staff member:
First of all i would make a comment on the topic saying “i'll handle this” or something related to that, showing that i am handling the abuse, i would then check the report, and make sure that the player is using the correct template, if not i would make a comment saying that he should follow the correct template, then leave a link for the template. i would then make sure there is evidence, if there is no evidence i would ask the staff member if anything happened if he would reply “no” i would tell the reporter that evidence is needed and i would deny the report. If the staff member would apply “yes” i would ask him what happened since the staff is the trusted part here, because the reporter has no evidence. Me and the staff member would then make up a final conclusion for what is going to happen to the staff member. If there is evidence i would firstly contact the reporter on steam or teamspeak, i would then talk about what exactly happened and i would make sure to right it down to remember it all, after that i would then go ahead and contact the staff member and listen to his part of the story and also write that down. When i had heard both of the stories i would read them both through and look a lot on the evidence. if there is enough evidence here is a example of how the response could look like:
if the abuse was accepted this could be an example of the outcome:
hello <user>, after listening to both sides of the stories and looking at the evidence provided with the report, i have come to the conclusion that this report will be
after talking to the staff member about their mistake this will be brought up in the next lead team meeting and a punishment of some sort to follow. [/color]
if the players evidence is bad or doesn’t fit to the story this could be an example of a denial:
hello <user>, after hearing both sides of the stories and looking on the evidence i have come to the conclusion that this report will be
there is simply not enough evidence to prove that this ever happened, the evidence you provided us doesn’t fit to the story you gave us. and therefore i cannot accept this report.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member bans a user for an excessive amount of time, how do you approach the staff member to ensure that everyone is treated fairly?
i would approach him in respectful manners so the player doesn’t go in panic or get mad for thinking he did something horrible, i would then (in private chat) ask him the reason for the really long ban, after giving me a reason i would calmly tell him that the ban is a bit too long and needs to be changed to an appropriate length i would send the player all the most used ban times for the most rulebreakers, and i would tell him to follow that or at least something similar to those ban times.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member is dealing with a user but is struggling to do so in an appropriate manner. How would you resolve the situation?
If a player is struggling for an example with using the menu to slay a trap spammer, i would kindly guide them through the menu, this would be through admin chat since players doesn’t need to interact with staff affairs, i would guide the staff member through the menu to find the right punishment in a kind way, because i don't want him to become nervous or think that i'm mad at him, after the player gets his punishment and warn, i would ask the staff member i he wants me to go through the menu with him one more time, to make sure he understands the menu and make sure that the occasion doesn’t happen again.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member accuses another staff member of breaking rules, how would you help resolve the situation?
firstly i would reach out for the accusing part over some kind of private msg, doing this in admin chat could lead to a massive discussion, i would ask the player what happened and i would afterwards ask if he has any evidence, if he replies that there is no evidence i would kindly tell him that there's nothing to do about it then, since evidence is required for me to react to it. But if the player did have useful evidence, i would talk to the staff member and make sure that they know it's a rule break, if its a more serious rulebreak like trap spam it would be brought up at the lead team meeting, but if it's something like an inappropriate spray i would just tell them to change it and tell him to make sure i never happens again.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member acts in a disrespectful manner towards another staff member and or sparks an argument within the staff team. How do you resolve the situation?
i would contact them both separately and make sure that they both calm down, and hear out what happened. I would then tell them both to stop the argument and i would tell them that we don't want any discussion or arguments within the staff team, and instead of starting an argument contact a lead team member if another staff member is doing something wrong. I would make sure to let the lead team know about the situation.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
You spot a staff member breaking rules to the point of harming other users, how do you approach the staff member?
I would contact the member privately, so no other players get dragged into it, i would ask them why they are doing the rulebreak and then say that it is not allowed and that it is a warnable action. I would then keep an eye on the guy to make sure it doesn’t happen again. If the staff member continues and did things like kicking people, i would remove his access rights for the moment to make sure he doesn’t abuse his commands anymore, if the player was SA+ i would contact HA+ asap and get a lot of screenshots of the situation to make sure there is evidence to get the staff member demoted. The players that were randomly kicked would have that part of their rapsheet cleansed.
thank you for reading my application...good day!
