How do you feel that your time as an administrator has contributed to becoming a super administrator:
in my time as an administrator ive encountered pretty much every situation possible, wether this is staff arguments, diskussion or mass rulebreaking, i always do everything i can to help out, theres alot of arguments going on from time to time that i try to fix. everytime i find some kind of exploit or if im witness to smth bad as abusing, bad attitude etc. from a staff member i always contact a lead team meber, i would like to contribue a bit more than just contacting someone that can do it for me.
What makes you a good candidate for the super administrator team? ( in this part you can go as detailed as you want):
activity
my activity lately has been really good, im pretty much active all day, as im active i try to be friendly, and helpful to other players, but also to fellow staff members. as im active i play to have fun, get xp but also for staffing, these are all very important to me.
attitude:
i always try to keep my attitude as clean as possible, the only time where i can get a bit stubborn is if someone harasses or attacks my own opinions, even tho that doesnt happen quite often, i always try to keep a good attitude to other players, wether i this is staff members or regular players.
experience:
my experience on this server is very high, ive been here for like 4 years, ofc with various breaks. Im pretty much there to every single meeting. my experince with rules and staffing is very high ive used pretty much every ulx command there is, but in the right manners, ive been staff member for a total of 3 months, counting my time back in 2015.
trust:
throughout my time as a staff member ive gained alot of trust, not just to other staff members, but also to other players in the community, i dont lie to ppl and i never do anything to harm them. i have never abused my commands to the point where its harmful in any way.
map exploit list:
with the help of lemon and vytexx we have provided (most of the staff team) a list of all the exploits throughout all maps on deathrun. But only for the staff team, since showing this to other ppl can lead to into doing the exploits...if you are a staff member on deathrun and dont have the exploit list msg me if you want it.
Explain a situation as an administrator you encountered that was an obstacle that required the help of a lead team member but you had to work around it when no lead team member was available
negative staff diskussion
ive been witness to negative staff reports a couple of times, ppl seems to be more respectful to LT members since it shows more dedication and knowledge. i try to stop the diskussions but that doesnt always seem to work.
meetings:
im pretty much always at the meetings, and i find meetings very important and i enjoy being at them, not just to help the staff team, but also for the sake of friendship and fun.
trust
i had this situation not long ago, where another staff member tried to abuse his commands on me, the staff member had an overall bad attitude, so going undercover to make sure the staff was trustworthy would have been very useful at that point.
Explain how you would review and handle an abuse report against another staff member:
First of all i would make a comment on the topic saying “i'll handle this” or something related to that, showing that i am handling the abuse, i would then check the report, and make sure that the player is using the correct template, if not i would make a comment saying that he should follow the correct template, then leave a link for the template. i would then make sure there is evidence, if there is no evidence i would ask the staff member if anything happened if he would reply “no” i would tell the reporter that evidence is needed and i would deny the report. If the staff member would reply “yes” i would ask him what happened since the staff is the trusted part here, because the reporter has no evidence. Me and the staff member would then make up a final conclusion for what is going to happen to the staff member. If there is evidence i would firstly contact the reporter on steam or teamspeak, i would then talk about what exactly happened and i would make sure to right it down to remember it all, after that i would then go ahead and contact the staff member and listen to his part of the story and also write that down. When i had heard both of the stories i would read them both through and look a lot on the evidence. if there is enough evidence here is a example of how the response could look like:
hello <user>, after listening to both sides of the stories and looking at the evidence provided with the report, i have come to the conclusion that this report will be
after talking to the staff member about their mistake this will be brought up in the next lead team meeting and a punishment of some sort to follow.
if the players evidence is bad or doesn’t fit to the story this could be an example:
hello <user>, after hearing both sides of the stories and looking on the evidence i have come to the conclusion that this report will be
there is simply not enough evidence to prove that this ever happened, the evidence you provided us doesn’t fit to the story you gave us. and therefore i cannot accept this report.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member bans a user for an excessive amount of time, how do you approach the staff member to ensure that everyone is treated fairly?
i would approach him in respectful manners so the player doesn’t go in panic or get mad for thinking he did something horrible, i would then (in private chat) ask him the reason for the really long ban, after giving me a reason i would calmly tell him that the ban is a bit too long and needs to be changed to an appropriate length i would explain the player that banning is a last resort, and he should think hardly before he bans someone, i would then ask him if he wants some useful tips for ban time, in that case i would send him a message with the time i would recommend the ban for.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member is dealing with a user but is struggling to do so in an appropriate manner. How would you resolve the situation?
If a player is struggling for an example with using the menu to slay a trap spammer, i would kindly guide them through the menu, this would be through admin chat or private chat, since players doesn’t need to interact with staff affairs, i would guide the staff member through the menu to find the right punishment in a kind way, because i don't want him to become nervous or think that i'm mad at him, after the player gets his punishment and warn, i would ask the staff member if he wants me to go through the menu slowly with him, to make sure he understands the menu and make sure that the occasion doesn’t happen again.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member accuses another staff member of breaking rules, how would you help resolve the situation?
firstly i would reach out for the accusing part over some kind of private msg, doing this in admin chat could lead to a massive discussion, i would ask the player what happened and i would afterwards ask if he has any evidence, if he replies that there is no evidence i would kindly tell him that there's nothing to do about it then, since evidence is required for me to react to it. But if the player did have useful evidence, i would talk to the staff member and make sure that they know it's a rule break, if its a more serious rulebreak like trap spam it would be brought up at the lead team meeting, but if it's something like an inappropriate spray i would just tell them to change it and tell him to make sure i never happens again.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member acts in a disrespectful manner towards another staff member and or sparks an argument within the staff team. How do you resolve the situation?
firstly i would stop the disrespect, or argument if that was the case. then i would contact them both separately and make sure that they both calm down, and hear out what happened. I would then tell them both to stop the argument and be good again and i would tell them that we don't want any discussion or arguments within the staff team, and instead of starting an argument contact a lead team member if another staff member is doing something wrong. I would make sure to let the lead team know about the situation.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
You spot a staff member breaking rules to the point of harming other users, how do you approach the staff member?
I would contact the member privately, so no other players get dragged into it, i would ask them why they are doing the rulebreak and then say that it is not allowed and that it is a warnable action. I would then keep an eye on the guy to make sure it doesn’t happen again. If the staff member continues and did things like kicking people, i would remove his access rights for the moment to make sure he doesn’t abuse his commands anymore, if the player was SA+ i would contact HA+ asap and get a lot of screenshots of the situation to make sure there is evidence to get the staff member demoted. The players that were randomly kicked would have that part of their rapsheet cleansed.
thank you for reading my application, good day
