TOPIC: [SSRP] ModMan Demotion Request

Story - (What happened?) I tped up on the roof next to spawn, to see what was going on., and there was Angelus stunsticking the new mods (as fars as I understood, the mods was having fun). Then Angelus starts trying to hit me, so I tp away, and then ModMan grabs me, and lifts me back, and holds me. I then suicide, but since he keeps on holding me, I cant respawn (I actually dont get this recorded, but when I suicide, I started to record.)
Proof - (Any proof (video or screenshot) that clearly shows what happened.) (shows him lifting me and bringing me to the roof again)
Time and date (CET) - (When did it happend?) I dont know these CET thingy, but it was at 00.45 somewhere GMT+1
Other comments - (Anything else you want to add?) We were talking on TeamSpeak, but the recorder only record the ingame sound, but you can ask; Tigz, Angelus, Kpro, CombatYapper and Blazer, who was in the same room as us. I kept on saying "Stop it, fucking stop it," While ModMan was laughing.

I'm sorry you got roped into this. I was merely having fun with both dawg and Combat. I'll admit I got carried away, though I had no intention of you being stuck in the air like that.

Yeah me angelus and combat were just messing around dodging his bullets and stunsticks etc

Angelus, I dont blame you. You stopped hitting me when I said stop. but ModMan kept on grabbing me and such.

I must admit seeing this post made me chuckle considering he only got Admin a few hours ago.

I would put this down to Modman getting over excited as his first day as a Admin but I wouldn't think this is acceptable. I can see other Admins and mods playing around but the fact that you were on duty takes the cheese for me.

Modman has prooved himself by being mod and applying for Admin and I must admit this doesn't impress me.

This clearly won't do any favours for him or the ZARP community and personally I can't remember a time other Admins were "harassing" mods like this. I would encourage other staff to take this seriously as I do not believe this is acceptable for the first day.

Its a shame that you had to post this as I thought Modman would never be this "destructive" on the first day.

Just re watched the video and the fact the Modman was suiciding as a citizen is FailRP.

It was harmless fun and I have been thrown around by Tigz I asked him to stop and he refuse. So there is no need to make such a big deal out of it. Sure it may have gotten slightly out of hand but as you were not doing anything I thought you wouldn't mind. Also I did not suicide Angelus killed me

I just recently got back, after watching a movie. Shortly before I left for the movie Modman was promoted, and now when I'm back from said movie, there's already a demote request on him.

I find this behavior as a staff member, to be very unprofessional. Sure, Modman can be excited about receiving his new staff rank on the Dark RP server, but this was taking it too far. We've gone over being professional Staff member's on Dark RP [The 3 P's] , and now this is what I'm seeing? This is very inappropriate staff behavior, it not only makes him look bad, but the staff team in general. I can see by previous posts, that Angelus had not intention for you being stuck in there air, and that he was carried away, but this is still unprofessional. Modman should of been helping out with the F1's or Roleplaying, rather then goofing around with other staff and players.

Update ::I don't enjoy you lieing about this, I'll admit, while in a base before, I physgunned you in the air then dropped you, but you never asked me to stop, in fact, you were laughing. Don't falsify things.

Well I apologize for not listening to you and you are right I should have respected that but things got out of hand. So if they think it is right then let them demote me. This was my mistake and I take full responsibility for it.

Ok so where to start with this one... For a start I will not bother reading every exact word in each post but I gathered the basic idea of staff being unhappy with the reported incident.

For a start I would like to mention that I myself and countless other long time staff members have done several stupid things like this due to us just having a laugh or a little bit of fun while there is no F1's. I understand it is probably not the smartest idea to do it to a new staff member that wasn't in on the gag but at the same time I would like every to lay off the professionalism ordeal since he just got promoted and we all know ModMan is an eccentric character that was clearly just having a bit of banter with Angelus.

I will have a word with him later about it and make sure he doesn't do it again to anyone that is not willing to have a bit of staff fun.

Also I understand you made this post to get the point across but next time I strongly suggest just poking one of the SA or Community Managers over TS as we were all active and online at the point you posted this, the post does no favours for the staff member and reporting it to us over TS would've had it dealt with more swiftly and easily.

Anyway I will leave the topic unlocked incase a Community Manager wants to have any input into this but as I said I will speak to ModMan about it and make sure he knows it was unacceptable and not to let something like this happen again.

So, we introduced the Tier system so pretty much everything could be recorded if it hits the mark. We're no strangers to these 'screw up on the first day staff', although I must admit that this one isn't nearly as bad as the other.

Either way, when myself, Xhantium and Dcx agreed on this system: we agreed that it would be strict.

Going crazy with new-found powers on the first day is one hell of a bad impression on yourself.

Now, typically this would be considered 'invalid physgunning' which is a tier two offense; but it involved a colleague rather than a community member and thus it isn't really as severe from what everyone can see. A tier 1 warning (which expires after a month) will be issued for the reason of 'invalid physgunning' (I'm waiving the fact that it's a tier 2 by keeping in mind that you're new to the admin role.)

Also, hats off to Angelus for the apology and maturity on his part in this situation.
