"Individualism or Collectivism?"
The concept of individualism prioritises the self over any other defining aspect of the human experience; developing the singular over the collective, and encouraging growth and improvement as the ultimate goal. It means to exist freely of others and think for yourself - develop your own ideas, opinions. Freedom of action for the greater good of the self, rather than for the collective. This isn't necessarily a selfish thing, as you can still vye for the needs of others while expressing your own thoughts and feelings. In fact, this is a fundamental part of being human. Bandwagoning is much more collective-oriented than individualist, which means freedom of the inherent biases that stem from being part of a group.
Contrast with collectivism; a hive-mind mentality in which only the needs of the group and the many are vital. Everyone is prioritised, which quintessentially dictates that no-one is. Equality over favourtism, empathy over ego, and belonging over loneliness. Collectivism advocates the needs of everyone - which is sometimes a bad thing. If no-one thinks for themselves, no-one learns from the mistakes of thinking freely.
Individualism is inherently more risky - but the foundations of our very world were built on the shoulders of individualists who chose to think freely than follow the herd.
"What would your Top 10 items be on SSRP?"
I've answered something similar, but in regards to my five favourite items. The top items, in terms of effectiveness, and in my opinion:
10) Advanced Tripmines
They're a veritible powerhouse; they've ripped special suits (including my Golden Jugg) that people thought were unbeatable, and they're incredibly valuable.
9) Summer/Hell Printer
While I'm not entirely sure which is stronger (clarification is much appreciated), these printers dominate the printing economy, and are amazing additions to a base.
Quad Booster
Incredibly valuable, but equally useful, the Quad Booster allows for the player to quadruple their printer output. This is always a huge help for any base - even if it is one-time use.
7) Hand Cannon
While they are incredibly controversial and have proven to have mixed feelings about them throughout the community, there's no denying they're both popular, valuable items that devastate a base quite easily.
6) Thundergun
This is a classic. One of the first powerful weapons of an age of explosive warfare; the thundergun stands the test of time by being a brutal, unrelenting cannon.
5) Nuclear Launch
Can you stand this trial? The rewards outweigh the risks by this point. Fifteen solid minutes of survival against whatever player force chooses to oppose you - and you're given the ultra-valuable SCU.
4) Super Charged Uranium
One of the most versatile item in the entire game - this offers over 10 different crafting options using just it alone. It's extremely valuable, and a vital necessity to get upgrades, gluons and more.
3) Defibrillator
This might be an odd choice, and some of you might be wondering why I didn't go for the Tactical Insertion Point instead. The Defib is not only a classic, but allows the party to keep going. It's fundamentally a group item, that allows the group to sustain themselves as long as they need to.
2) Gluon Gun
The one expensive weapon that most people have no issue losing. Probably because they're fairly easy to acquire with the use of SCU, but they still stand at over 200 mil. It's an incredibly powerful weapon, but stands out for most as equally one of the most useful in dominating enemies.
1) Mummy Suit
Controversial, but effective. The Mummy Suit is an example of suit powers that can turn the tide of a fight very quickly. Heightened HP, life drain upon the second and third life, and extra lives to boot - there's a reason they're so popular, so valuable, and so few on sale.
