Why would you compare it in the first place? There is nothing to gain by saying/proofing that one is better than the other.

I prefer LoL as it hooked me into the game from the start and my RL friends play it a lot. I tried Dota for a while but it never really "caught" me.

Can't we just continue to have fun in games without making it a competition about which game is better?

I don't see any good arguments in that thread.

I see million of times League would be pay2win, which is completely wrong.
You unlock every Champion by time.

There are many mechanically difficult champions that shouldnt be allowed to pick untl you learned the basics.
At the time you reach max level you should have played enough games to focus on other Champions and things like Runes and Masteries.

At Level 30 you should have arround 20-30k IP. That's enough for 2-3 "difficult" expensive Champions, ~14~ cheap Champions (to unlock Ranked/Draft Pick) + runes ( AD,AP,Other) .

You can buy whatever Champion you want ( Just throwing in at this point, you'll have already at Level 10 enough IP to buy one of the most expensive Champions in the game). Explain how this could be Pay2Win. Just play the game and you'll unlock everything by time.

1. It's about how much you need to grind, IIRC there was a thread that stated you'd get 17cents per hour from grinding IP.

2. May I refer you to the clash of clans analogy.

3. You should be allowed to pick all champions, someone who's unlocked them all will have an advantage in picking over someone who doesn't.

4. Runes. Like seriously. Wtf.

I played DOTA once, made our team's courier suicide a few times and crashed after (pretty sure exrobite died on the inside that game)

Moba games are boring.
