I would get two hard drives if you can, and by that I mean a like 260gb SSD and then like a 2 or 3 terabyte HDD. The SSD for speed and the HDD for storage. I hope my advice helped :)

Yeah the two drives are really for if you are gonna go all in at once but you can always add another hard drive in the future.

That is what I am going to do, for example later on I will get an SSD and an extra 4gb RAM so it will make 12gb and also later on I will get a better GPU

That sounds like the best thing you can do at the minute but in a bit that will be an epic setup.

Want my honest advice on windows 8.1? I bought it due to the fact I couldn't find my windows 7 disc after finishing building my new rig. Once I installed it and ran stuff on it for the first couple days it was fine but after that I encounter this stupid 100% disk usage error which causes the system to take upto 80% of it at times, slowing the computer down considerably.

If you plan on gaming then I highly suggest you switch that windows 8.1 to windows 7 for a better OS experience. The advantages of windows 8 is almost 0 and the errors you could encounter when trying to game is higher than on windows 7.

Windows 7 is much better choice bro :3

Get Windows 7. Windows 7 is better in many peoples opinions, including me. Windows 7 is also way cheaper than Windows 8.1. So you could spend some more money, for example getting an 128GB SSD. Yes, 128GB is fine. I have 128GB too. You should just install Windows on it and a game you play alot. SSD mainly shortens loadtimes, so you don't really need it at games. Also, if you get a SSD then make sure you NEVER format it, else you can buy a new one.

Mm, that setup looks really good for a decently low price, after building my own first gaming PC i learned so much, and now that I see my PC in action, I can say with a good coinfidence that you won't need a better CPU cooler, assuming you won't do some serious over clocking. I have a 3,40 gHz i5 running at extremely low temps (30 degrees) even when playing games, and I'm using the box cooler. So you could save some if you buy a boxed cpu, not tray and leave that special cooler. Also this follows if your case cooling is well managed. Didn't look at the case yet, but if it's a moderately small one, make sure your GPU will fit in it with the motherboard (~1cm) from the backplate, so it won't collide with the case. Also the GPU power cord usually plugs into the top of the GPU, so you'll need like 2cm extra for that too. Are you building the PC on your own or let someone else do it?

EDIT: Checked the case, shouldn't be a problem fitting the parts in it :)

Tigz get an Nvidia Gtx 750ti, cheaper and better than the Amd 280...

Also don't even think of Windows 8.x, get Windows 7 much cheaper, and Windows 10 is almost done anyways....

750Ti is a joke with that price range.

He should get something strong, and long lasting. maybe a 770? Or a r9 280.
