How much do your schools control the use of phones in the classroom?

you can't have them out.... they take it from you if you have it out in lesson and you goto get a parent/carer to claim it the next day.........

Can't use phones anywhere on school grounds unless you have permission from a receptionist to call a parent or you are in the library after school has ended.

What's a phone

Depends on the teacher, some teachers collect all of our phones before the lesson starts some of the teachers don't give a fuck if you have your phone out aslong as you don't make any noise.

In college we're basically allowed to use them whenever we want, some teachers tell you to put it away but the majority doesn't care as long as you don't interrupt the class.

Taking pictures/videos tho is strictly prohibited and if you get caught you're fucked.

During lunch we can use phones some teachers allowe the use of phones at the end of the period but if it’s out during the lesson depending on how the teacher is they would just tell you to put it away, if they’re a bitch you would prob get detention

We use our phones as we want and do what we want, and they don’t care

Well since the start of 10th grade, we are currently not allowed phones in our school. They collect them in a box for the whole day and then we get it back. If you are seen with a phone, they take it away, don't know how long, all depends on the teacher. There are rare occasions where we are allowed a phone when we are for example filming a school project.
It wasn't this before. Before we could use our phones, just not in the classroom.

a kid got their phone confiscated by the vice head teacher after the people at reception told her she could use it to call her parents about putting money on her lunch account (our school uses a shitty online system)

so that kid got no food and got her phone taken for a completely innocent thing, parents had to come in to collect it i'm pretty sure

Allowed as long as they're not used in lessons (unless the teacher allows students to use them in the lesson)

in high school they didn't let us use them at all, at college they didn't really care as long as you weren't too "disrespectful" about it and rn in university they don't give a fuck
