Yes, you can't actually Role-Play in S3, but that's no excuse for what damage was done, because as far as i can see, there are at least 7 topics about this which means that people are disappointed/angry. And if you already wanted to kill each other you could have just opened a server of your own which is not that hard to do. And also just because the lack of players in S3 doesn't mean you can break the rules like this. There is nothing you can say that can justify what not only you, but anyone else rule-breaking in S3 has done... This was expected from a low-ranking staff member, not from a SA. Such a shame
Explain in detail, what damage was done to a server without an active database?

Damage to other players, as i already said they are obviously angry because of what happened (if you haven't noticed at least 5-7 topics about people complaining)...
Please could you link all the posts because I cannot be bothered to look through every forum post to find the point you're attempting to make. People complain every single day on SSRP and that does not damage the players or the server in any way. This was the first time EiPUS done this to my knowledge, he may not of known how to handle the situation so he did it in a poor way, he realises his mistake and is willing to apologise publicly to the players as well as go out of his way to refund them, honestly you guys are blowing a small problem out of proportion. Wow he rdm'd a server that you cannot even rp on, what loss is there?

Just as you cant bother to list through topics, i can't bother to waste time with you. There is solid evidence of the shit fest that happened and i think EiPUS like everyone else deserves a second chance. And just as i said 3 replies ago, even though you can't RP that's no reason to rule break, and as far as i can see you are supporting the rulebreaking by indirectly saying it's ok: Wow he rdm'd on a server where you can't even rp, what's the loss. So you are saying it's ok to break rules. Ok. Fine... I wish you the best and have a nice day, i won't be waisting my time with you anymore...

If you're getting angry over getting killed on an SSRP server a few times then that is on you to sort out your shitty fucking life because that shouldn't be happening. Oh, and don't be getting lippy with my man Micky.

well so we can just make rdm allowed cuz it doesnt casue to any problem?

My guy, what are you snowflakes failing to see? ThE DaTaBaSe WaS dOwN sO bArElY AnYoNe LoSt AnYtHiNg. The RDM rule isn't solely there to stop people getting angry is it? No, it's to make sure people don't lose their hard earned shit to some retard with an mp9 and to give the people playing the ability to actually make money without being killed as soon as they spawn.

what are u on lol so if a person does not lose a shit the other guy is free to rdm exdi

Even though you might sincerely be sorry, I think you not being demoted would set a seriously bad example for the server. A SA telling staff at a lower rank then them to break rules is extremely bad for the community, but I just hope the LT makes the right call

Mate, there was no way to rp on server 3 anyway, database was down meaning no guns and no money as well.
i dont see it as a big problem, and he is sorry about what he have done
LOL U THINK SORRY IS ENOUGH?!?!? Eipus told staff and users that Mass rdming is ok! Then most people were defenseless when others were left with nothing! And you say it wasn’t a big deal and it doesn’t affect rp when Joshua and many others were fucking pissed off about it, trust me if it didn’t affect roleplay eipus wouldn’t be risking a demotion.
What the fuck are you on about? Keep your grudges to yourself and fuck off a bit. The only 2 people who were seriously offended by this matter are you and dady, Why the fuck are squeaky kids even playing zarp anyways?
And I fucking bet you with 100m that if it was a staff member that was your friend you wouldn't of said shit. Too bad you dont have any other friends bud.
If you can't accept a man apologising to everyone, and even mentioning you. and willing to refund people then you can fuck right off okay?

Don't know what people are on about. The database would have reconnected for the people that were on at the time. Not to mention there was a nuke going on at the time.

So for all of the people who are like "it didn't effect anything" You are completely wrong and don't understand how databasing and the servers work

When you a superadmin encourages admins and users to mass rdm on the server and abuse without knowing if it will effect the server. I think we have a very big problem and for the "refund" shit how is he going to know if they are telling the truth meaning most of the people who want to be refunded are not because its being filled with trolls

More or less, this.
Also I want to add that it looks incredibly bad that an SA can tell everyone that "mass rdming is allowed" because "the database is down", while also proceeding to RDM people himself.
The database being down doesn't excuse the rulebreak by any extent.

And there we go again, "without knowing it will effect the server". If it wasn't his intention then why should he receive a demotion. I am 100% sure that if he had been briefed on this in his training then it would not of happened. Maybe the server just needs a more thorough training system and events like this should be rehearsed or at least tell the staff how to act in such situations.

We have to tell staff not to abuse and rdm? No that is not how that should work. The rules of the server are always in effect even if the server has an outage

why do people need to be fucking told not to break rules in any way, especially majorly like this? that's incredible, perhaps people who should be told that shouldn't be staff in the first place

I would like to share my own personal opinion here. Firstly and perhaps most importantly: this did affect some user's experience on the server. The moment this started happening I got several messages from separate users saying they were getting Mass RDMed by staff. Items were lost for some people as well, and I think the report proves that people really did not have a good time on the server.

However that does not mean that we should now go and lynch EiPUS for this oversight of his. The database was down, he thought nobody would be able to lose anything so he figured it would be fun if everyone would kill one another. There weren't any bad intentions involved on his part, he just wanted himself and everyone else to have a good time. It was a definite mistake of his to have misinterpreted the situation that badly and I don't think anyone should attempt to understate that fact by stating "Oh he's refunding everyone so nobody was affected."

Some people didn't enjoy the shitfest as much as he'd expected and others lost some stuff, but his intentions were right and he stopped RDMing himself the moment he asked me if it was allowed or not.

I personally think it'd be an absolute waste to lose a dedicated and hard-working staff member because of a mistake involving zero malicious intent. Then again I'm not at the meeting tonight so that decision is entirely in the hands of the Head Admins.
