TOPIC: [Lets talk about it] Zarp Discord?

It has came to my mind multiple times and yes possibly many players have asked this. But we all know that the Zarp Network has a Team Speak Server, which now adays team speak in general is rarely used. Discord has game server networks and groups connected to it, basically it gives multiple oppourtunities, automated moderation, community sharing, announcement pages (such as change logs or news), and the open/private chatrooms, with a simple interface and phone app access. Yes I have heard from some admins, players and staff that Discord has bad audio quality, can be a bit buggy, ect. But sometimes we gotta think not on the simplest of issues like audio quality. But on thinking as a network sometimes chage is what can lead to an increasing population. If this idea or discussion comes to mind or becomes a reality and have no one to assist on the creation, I have personally created many discord channels for networks and managed some of them. But enough of my history of the program, this can be a step forward. I am looking forward to peoples thoughts and ideas on this idea.

There are plenty of ways how ZARP can benefit from a Discord, however I believe the issue lies in the fact that a lot of coding would have to be done to make it work properly. Because of the fact that a lot of the coders are already working their asses off I don't believe that the benefits of a Discord, aside from better publicity and accesibility, outweigh the possible effort that would have to be put into it when we already have a communication service that works just fine.

Wouldn’t audio quality be like the number one thing you looked for in an app that transfers audio?

Also no offense dude setting up and managing discord is almost as easy as it is in teamspeak so unless you know how to write discord bots you honestly wouldn’t be much help with it.

Hmm? Don't discord servers take no effort what so ever? also it wouldn't need coding unless they were planning on having a custom bot which is pretty basic in js or python anyways lmfao.

IMO Discord voice chat quality is no different to ts however the discord overlay is pretty useless, only showing who and when people are talking, this doesn't really matter though.

Realistically it would have to be one or the other to be honest, having a ts and a discord at the same time would be stupid, I would only prefer discord as it is easy to run, free to make, has working chats which all users can view and is overall better although if zarp already has a ts server then there is no use in switching to discord, all it would do is leave most players confused.

a discord would be quite a big improvement to the server but not many people think about the problems with switching and just cry asking for a discord lol

Yeah it would probably be a good move tbh, I don't own ts myself however I do own discord.
If you want custom discord bots all you need is people who know basic javascript or literally anything else lmfao i dont really know why no one has aknowledged this ;n;
