I've been in depression for a year or two. I absolutely hate myself. I literally have no IRL friends, pretty much the same online too. I can't have normal conversations with anyone most of the time, and I'm just a horrible person. I'm not going to say anything else, I think I'll save it for my introduction and whatnot. Best way to stop depression is not to lock yourself in and watch anime... Morkva is right Try to be more social, try working out in the gym, running, or something... Depression can come into all shapes and sizes and we have to deal with that. If he has the urge to become social, he should take baby steps. Remixful, I applaud you for even "socializing" on the internet if anything that's best at most. Most of us take things for granted such as not being depressed.

Sure socializing is a great thing...

At this point, this post isn't pointing fingers at only you Jacob and hope that people open a new hatch.

But what does this have to do with Anime?

I know many celebrities and youtubers that watch anime and still be social.

Every anime hater that I see has stupid reasons for hating it.
Do I care that you hate anime? No I don't care, it's your opinion but when you shove down our throats, then it's stupid.

Don't forget that I was once like you (In the way of hating anime) and I would always have fights with Lightarrowsexe that Anime sucks. But one day, I tried it out and I liked it.

Again, it's one's opinion.
I'm not going off saying to people "Hey, you love sports! Sports sucks and you should feel bad".

I have no respect for people with anime or furry avatars/signatures.

Good for you generalizing the whole community or in this case the entire world into two sides.
There's people who done so much in this community that watch Anime and have anime avatars and signatures and what did you do?

I once came off of duty on SSRP and went cop to stop the bank raid but forgot I was cloaked from a previous situation and killed the guy in the bank, Right after he alerted me of it and I was like oh shit and felt terrible and I immediately TPed him and said sorry multiple times and gave him the money he would have got from the bank. Luckily he understood and said it was ok, Shout out to that guy for understanding(They know who they are).
