TOPIC: Situation #1

Situation #1 7 years 1 month ago #738534

I took insperation from someone else doing this and it was quite popular so came up with something similar.

Situation:

If someone had an awful accident where they are severely injured to the point where they are in a coma and won't wake up for the rest of their life which is being relied on by a machine and you are a doctor. Would you want to end their life as their quality of life is quite frankly poor, or would you say keep them alive?

Please follow the Terms of Use and respect each others opinions when commenting down below.

I will also be thinking up more of these kinds of situations so thank this post and +karma me if you like them and want me to post more.

I will give my opinion on this.

I personally as the doctor would tell the patient's family that they will never wake up and always be in a coma and that their "Quality of life" is awful and that I personally think they should die in peace and be remembered when they were still at their happiest.

It's called assisted suicide
And yes, people who have incurable diseases should be given a choice to it.

But there should be a line that marks what's too much and what isn't

Its not assisted suicide when the family has chosen that they want that person to die in peace or whatever reason, families in this situation are asked if they want this before the machine is turned off.

I also agree that they should be given the choice to whether they should die or not but in a coma they would be unable to speak for themselves.

I also agree that there is a line between too much and what isn't I mean they shouldn't have the machine turned off if they will wake up, but in my opinion they should die in peace when they will never wake up.

I don't mean it to be, I want people to give their opinions on what they would do here. Although it is based off what I talk about in my Religious Studies classes.

I mean it's literally called assisted suicide, it's when someone doesn't want to live anymore and has a good reason(cancer for example because their life will end anyways and fighting to live longer will be painful) and they legally get a right to die

Well I don't know about comas..

And what I meant by the line is that people shouldn't be allowed to like request to die because they got VAC banned on csgo :side:

This is Euthanasia which is only legal I admit in a few countries, but if it was legalised then I don't see a problem with it. I also don't see why people shouldn't have the right to request to die, afterall its their own body and there are also other arguments for this.
