It’s been indicated that everything we’ve said is not being taken into consideration and I hope you’re excited for the newest and latest suit that will literally one tap everyone within a 50m radius coming this Christmas update
Hi Clarky,
We've actually decided to change our approach to coming updates to not just include the standard suit + case + booster pack deal for coming updates following the discussion the Community Team had based on this thread a couple of weeks ago, which myself and Martin mentioned above.
Care to explain in full what the approach is?
I’m sure everyone else too would love to know what steps are being taken now, transparency is key and if you demonstrate this then you’ll receive constructive feedback and ways of actually and genuinely improving the server rather than keeping it as a small group who have a completely different prospective to the vast majority, hence why people are pretty much rebelling against you lot.
Me personally, this update will most likely not draw me back already by the looks of your sneak peak post (I mean this in no disrespectful manner, i heavily respect the time and effort it can take when coding). It’s just not going to fix the issues on what the server is already going through and like mentioned before, drastic changes will be needed to really give the server a kick up the arse. It‘s almost becoming a waste of your own time coding these updates for a server that has been struggling for some time now but I respect the determination and efforts.
(probably the most respectful post ive made this past month lol)
One of our key plans involves increasing the number of jobs on the server, something which has been request6ed a lot in the past and we've noticed is a key factor on a lot of other DarkRP servers, specifically jobs which make it a lot easier for new players to grind and make money / items in ways which don't directly require basing or combat (things like the Lawnmower job, but more widespread and balanced in accordance with the effort required).
Alongside this is also the update approach which we feel would be better as a progression-based approach rather than spinning the wheel or grabbing some boosters and having all of the content in the new update unlocked within 48 hours of launch - the way in which we'll do this is still being discussed but we do have some ideas which will likely go into place soon (unfortunately this is not likely to be the Christmas update, as due to some unforeseen circumstances less manpower has been able to go into the Christmas update than anticipated, but to make up for this, I am planning to do a New Years update after Christmas, time permitting, which should contain more content, including a couple of new jobs). There will likely be a new job in the Christmas Update which will be a seasonal job thought up by Richard.
The Christmas Update mostly focuses on the gang system, as a couple of key things we've had suggested revolve around the gang system, and after going through this thread we felt as though a good way forward initially would be to incentivize some more gang-on-gang action whilst also making it easier for gangs to work with fellow gang members (through features which have been teased on the sneak peak post).
