TOPIC: SSRP New Map Poll - 2023

New Year, New Map

New for 2023 we are announcing a new map for SSRP, chosen by you the players in this poll. Speaking with our lead team and players it is clear that there is a demand to change the map more regularly to keep things interesting starting with this first map poll.

The poll is open now and you can vote above for your favorite map once logged into your account. The poll will close at the start of the next SSRP Meeting (Saturday 14th January 7PM GMT) and the winner announced on the forums.

Clarky has taken on the role of Map Developer releasing his first SSRP Map Update in December of 2022 with the TitsV2 Christmas Map Update and depending on the result of this poll will work on a few basic ZARP additions before it’s launched.

If Downtown wins a follow-up poll will be created so the community can decide between continuing with a custom ZARP TitsV2 version OR switching back to ZARP Downtown. The details of both maps can be found below.

Evocity V33X

Evocity was previously the Server3 Map which many old players will remember and very popular during its run. Evocity has 4 major areas, including the largest; the City district includes a plentiful amount of shops, apartments, the government Nexus building , Fire dept, Nightclub, Burger King and much more. Each district is connected by easy to use roads and tunnels. There's a large suburbs area with many houses and space for building too and a connecting area which includes the EMT building. The next area includes a large car dealer building and open landscape for large building. The final district sees a number of large warehouses and factory buildings perfect for larger projects. It also has 2 different elevator bases which are the most OP spots for basing.

Evilmelon

Evilmelon has also previously been run on Server2 and was also a favorite amongst old players on this server.It’s a fully customized version of Downtown V2 which includes a large number of classically styled buildings of various sizes. It features a large underground sewer complex with space for building and a subway system which connects the length of the map. A canal runs through the center of the map with a bridge connecting the two sides of the town.

Downtown TitsV2
The current SSRP map. If chosen it would be updated to include the changes from Christmas and some other ZARP buildings including the Casino, mines and GenCorp areas. The map is well known by most SSRP players and features a huge sewer system, a large water area and beach, various differently sized buildings and warehouses all connected with roads and tunnels.

ZARP Downtown V6

One of the longest running maps hosted on ZARP SSRP. The map was a heavily customized from various different Downtown versions and includes a fully custom Casino, mines, PD, hospital, spawn area and much more. If chosen it would be updated to include the GenCorp area.

Wouldn’t it make the most sense to just use the Zarp downtown and then just add the style from Evilmelon as other districts it would save a bunch of time for specific zarp areas would it not?

I would love to see Evocity back again, it would be fun with all the base opportunities and such with so many memories but ya, great map.
