Give it up for our 2 new Community Managers, Joshua and Mix3rz! And as always a huge thank you to all those who applied and completed their interview, as always we humbled to see the amount of effort put in and care people continue to have for one of the longest running communities in Garry's Mod. If you have a moment be sure to send a message to our 2 new CM's with your congratulations.
We'd also love a chance to thank those who contributed by posting feedback and supporting their favourite candidates for the role. And do not be disheartened if your favourite didn't get selected this time around. We always genuinely discuss and learn from the ideas and criticisms of each candidate even if they don't end up getting selected. Almost every candidate we accept has tried and been denied in the past multiple times before getting the role. To those who didn't make it: We'd love to see you back at the next vote.
Give a well deserved round of applause to both Joshua and Mix3rz. We hugely respect the time, effort, and skill that you have dedicated towards this community and we wish you the best of luck in this new role!
What will the new CMs be doing?
Joshua and Mix3rz will shortly be given their new ranks but will first need to complete an induction before they gain access to their new powers. In the meantime you can drop them a message with any questions or concerns you may have about their plans. The Induction takes around 5-6 hours to complete and ensures that no matter what candidate gets accepted they will be brought up to speed to the same level as the rest of the team.
The key areas of expertise that we will expect each candidate to focus on are as follows:
Joshua -
Development
Mix3rz -
Active Outreach
Other Candidates
We'd again like to thank the other candidates who attended and put a lot of effort into their application and interviews particularly both Nafe & CEO who campaigned together. They both worked very hard on their applications and had impressive ideas in their interviews. This was and has been one of the closer decisions for the role, however a final decision had to be made. We will be reaching out to them both as we would love to give you open and honest feedback about your applications when you have time.
