Deleting/Locking Posts Policy Updated
Following Kemi's thread discussing the issue (
zarpgaming.com/index.php/forum/server-is...posts-policy#1273539) we agreed that a number of changes are needed to help users find the reasons as to why their posts may have been locked/deleted in some cases. In the short term we have updated the Deleting/Locking Posts Policy to make it clear to users what they should do in the event that their post has been locked/deleted and they don't know why.
Here is the update to the Policy:
What to do if your post has been deleted/locked
If your post has been deleted and/or locked for any reason and you are unsure as to why or believe it was false, you should always try to first contact a member of the forum moderation team (Section Staff or Global Moderators) asking for the reason why (ensure you are respectful when doing so).
If you are still not satisfied, you should contact a member of the Community Team via Discord, Teamspeak or the Contact Us form providing any relevant information on the situation that occurred.
We expect people to respect the decisions of our staff team and to follow the correct procedures, and those who do not do so and repost or create forum posts which are written to create trouble or drama, then these posts will be removed and bans will have to be placed.
The full policy can be seen here:

Long Term Solution
In the Long Term we will be implementing an area in which users will be able to see private messages or notifications from forum staff and this will happen automatically when a post is deleted/locked and for some other actions too. Where necessary it will also provide them a reason.
Community Survey
Throughout the week Onion has been sending a community survey to a number of people who have been interested in sharing their opinions in several areas. Overall we have found this very useful and have read through every single response, so a big thank you to all those who took the time to give their opinions.
We have identified 2 primary areas in which we will be making big improvements: 1) Doing our best to make it clear why actions have been taken in terms of punishment's where they have not been in the past. This has begun with updating the policies and in the long term will be improved further with the notifications system. 2) Finding new ways to be more transparent about updates - As always people want to know more about the updates, and whilst this has improved a lot with the Community Council a lot more needs to be done in this area. Starting in 2021 we intend to have a new area on the ZARP forums called the Update Roadmap which will clearly outline the planned major updates and changes for the year with a rough estimate of when to expect them. Over the next few months we will work with the server owners and staff teams to see exactly what detail can be added to this.
Next Pointshop Update
A message from Martin on the state of the next Pointshop Update:
I am currently working on the next major Pointshop Update but it's unfortunately not going to be summer-themed anymore. I originally had plans for a summer-themed update this year but I didn't have as much time as I wanted to work on it and I've certainly learned a lesson about time management. Although not summer-themed, the next Pointshop Update will feature all new kinds of cosmetics, changes to the inventory system, stability improvements and a lot more based on the suggestions I've got over the last couple of months. You will hear more about this upcoming update soon™.
I've also got some plans to keep the community up to date on the development of future updates but it's still a bit too early to share them. I hope my reply covers the Pointshop part of your question. If you want to know more about the development of Pointshop feel free to message me on discord (Martin#6573) or poke me on teamspeak (ts.zarpgaming.com) when I'm on.
Next SSRP Update
We want to inform everyone that we are still very much working hard on this update and we expect to have it finished within the next 2 weeks. This update will include many new major features, a new map update and a lot of new content. Although it has only been just over a month since the last update to SSRP we recognize that a lot of people are anxious for new content and this is something we are working on. We are sorry that it has taken a bit longer than we first thought but as can happen a few real life issues have delayed this one.
Thank you ZARP!
