Deathrun Easter Update

ZARP Deathrun will be receiving it's largest update since launch!

We are proud to announce that we are rolling out a new gamemode alongside new skins, content and various other improvements.

New Gamemode

We are releasing a new gamemode which brings a lot of new features to the server. Some of these features include: crosshair customisation, map completion leaderboards and personal stat tracking.

Deathrun Gangs

We have decided to remove the current version of Deathrun Gangs for the time being due to various issues from a technical perspective. This version of the addon brought a lot of maintenance overhead with very little return-of-investment. Xnator and I are prioritising a new version of Deathrun Gangs that hopefully will improve the Deathrun experience!

Shards

Much like gangs, we have removed the shards, keys and chests from Deathrun.

Scoreboard ULX Menu

As part of the new gamemode, we have re-built the ULX menu (accessible by right-clicking on the scoreboard). The menu now has a much better UI but works just the same!

Announcer Messages

A new announcer system has been added to the server for more modern and consistently styled automated messages. Our vision was to have all UI elements to be as consistent as possible!

Other Changes

As all other ZARP Pointshop servers, Deathrun has received the latest Easter Pointshop update. You can read all about it here.

Missing Content?

Sometimes when we update our content Garry's Mod can take a while to catch up. If you see missing pink/black textures or receive a "Missing content message ". Follow these steps to fix it:

1) Unsubscribe from the ZARP POINTSHOP CONTENT pack: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1344786324
2) Run this command in console: menu_cleanupgmas
3) Restart the game and re-connect to the server the updated content will be downloaded automatically.

Got bugs/suggestions?

We've done our best to ensure this update is as bug-free as possible. However, we do miss things... if you do notice any bugs or things in-game that don't quite behave like they should, you can raise bugs on the Bug Reports topic.

Conversely, if you would like to submit any suggestions, you can voice your idea(s) on the Suggestions topic.

The PS update brings a lot of new stuff which is not only good for end-users but there’s a lot that’s been done to make Server Owner’s lives easier. The profiles area of the F4 menu immediately springs to mind as a good way to view everyone’s weekly activity and various other actions like give/send points.

The Deathrun update specifically implements a lot of ideas I suggested prior to becoming Server Owner. It also opens up the doors for us to continue working on new features as we’ve put new stuff on hold to make sure this update was as smooth as possible
