Tyler's Demotion
Today we as the Community Team have decided to demote Tyler Durden from his CM team role within the community. To begin we would like to thank him for his dedication, continuous hard work and his diligent attitude towards the community as a whole. For years he has put in countless hours into the community, being there to help users, staff members and the CM team. He was a good staff member to all, and a great friend to some. We hope that people will remember him for the good he has brought to the community, and not for the bad.
The primary reason for his demotion is threefold: for one, there was a report made against him made by a server owner. He called the staff member directly by phone multiple times, claimed to have proof of them doing something malicious and generally showed a terrible attitude with the staff member in that situation itself as well as all conversations afterwards. He promised to apologise to the staff member in question but never did.
After this particular scenario Tyler went inexplicably inactive without telling anyone where he was or when he was coming back. Within the CM team we actually needed him for numerous situations, both for the report as well as several policy changes. He never came on to explain himself and seemingly abandoned the community altogether. He was inactive for almost three weeks before his demotion today.
The last main reason for his demotion was quite possibly also the most severe. Several months ago he committed several offenses by accessing the database and gaining login details to another user's account. He also spoof called the parents of another member of the community, something that is both a crime and also got another member CM banned quite recently.
Regardless of his faults and shortcomings, Tyler has been an excellent Community Manager during his time. A lot of staff members will remember him as someone to go to for help when they needed it, and an overall beacon of support within the community as a whole. We would like to thank him for all his work over the past few years, as this community would not have been the same without him.
