TOPIC: Cheaters are killing the server

Hi,

Lately lots of cheater are just killing the prop hunt server, the only mod which is connected sometimes "philly" can not even ban them, just kick...

Prop Hunt is the only server where the staff aren't following the hacking policy anyway, so you're lucky they're actually doing anything at all...

Secondly, I never recall you making an appeal for whatever punishments you received. If you did, at least refer to them.

I get you dont care for prophunt, but even as a freshly re-minted forum staff member it’s disgusting how you chose to respond to a new forum-members post, without any information that could assist them.

Harsh truth is the prophunt staff team is currently very small and there are also currently no Lead team members to assist with cheaters, which leaves the Community Team Members who work across multiple servers and a few staff members who can only be there when they have the time. It might unfortunately be like this for some time until more people decide to apply for staff and gain the necessary experience so that they are capable of dealing with it.

In the meantime, there is !report command in game, you can report a user, and if a staff member is available they will come on the server and take a look, or the Owners can run some checks in the background via the console. If things really become unplayable you could also move to spectator team and record a possible cheater and send the video evidence to one of the Owners mentioned on that link above, but that’s entirely your choice. I’m sure Philly is trying the best he can given the circumstances, he seems willing and plays for many hours, unfortunately there are certain things according to policy his rank cannot do.
